ER - 10 years

I’m a huge ER fan and this year marks 10 years since it ended and 25 years since it started. It was an amazing show with great storylines and a great cast as well as very good guest stars.
So I just wanted to see if there are any other super fans out there. Who’s your fave dr, nurse? Fave episodes? Storyline....

My fave characters were. Doug Ross, Carol Hathaway, Luka Kovac, John carter, ray Barnett, gregg Pratt and Neela rasgotra

My fave episodes were the one where Ross rescues the kid from the storm drain, the one where Carol realises she’s still in love with Ross, the one where dr green causes a mass shooting due to his interference with a father and son, marks last days, the one when Carter goes to the Congo to find Luka, the one where the helicopter falls on top of Romano, the one where Neela finds out about rays accident, the one where gregg is in a the ambulance blast.

So if you can remember share your faves 😊

Love Doug and Carol. Also love Elizabeth and Kerry as string female characters.

Fave episodes are the suspected smallpox outbreak, Doug and Carol reuniting, Loves Labors Lost (the lady with pre eclampsia in series 1), anything that involved a major incident like Jerry accidentally blowing the ER up, Romano losing an arm for pure shock factor, and the one where Lucy and Carter are stabbed

God I wish I could watch it all again

I recently watched it all from start to finish and even after all this time it still holds up. I would love for them to do a revisit to the show, see what all the characters are all up to now.

I love this show! They were doing reruns on CBS reality channel last year but they didn't screen them in order which was annoying.

Agree with all of your choices and yes Sam was a rubbish character. I liked the full moon episode and also when Chloe had a baby and she was singing Blackbird while pushing. Some were genuinely heartbreaking. I don't know if I could watch loves labor lost again, for example, or when carter and his wife lose their baby. And the scene with Pratt will haunt me forever I think - it's his face.

It was one of the first glossy, well paced dramas and they obviously knew what they were doing when it came to casting, especially given that so many of them have gone on to become acting royalty.

Also, it gave the world George Clooney!

Oh and I didn't like Luka. He always looked/talked like he was eating and also appeared grubby.

I rewatched it all again recently. It was magical. I texted my sister on about episode 3 of season 1, when it dawned on me that I'd have to watch Mark die all over again Sad

Dr Greene! I also loved Kerry, Elizabeth, Lucy and in an odd way, Romano. It was a brilliant show.

I loved Corday and Benton’s doomed and deeply implausible but yet strangely compelling affair. Always preferred Carter to Ross.

Lucy and Carter getting stabbed was the most shocking episode.

I find it difficult to believe it was only 10 years ago it finished: but I didn’t watch the last series (couldn’t bring myself to be interested in Luka and Abby). I remember I was pregnant when Kerry had her miscarriage - I used to check the recaps on Television Without Pity before watching so that I could skip anything I might find too distressing.

Corday and Dubenko favourite characters. And Rocket Romano, loved to hate him! The helicopter death (after losing his arm to a helicopter already) was shocking and brilliant at the same time.

ER started 25 years ago??? Oh dear, I am old.

I watched from the beginning. I liked Lucy too, and also Ray who lost his legs in an accident. It didn't seem like a very safe place to work!

I don't think I saw much of the last couple of series but I've got the box set of DVDs somewhere so must dig them out.

Well I have just found a billion episodes of ER on a completely legal streaming website that is often very good for telly programmes. It starts with d and ends with ailymotion. If you've got a plugin you can send it to your telly from the phone. I don't know if it's every single episode but I've experimented with searching for random ones throughout all the series and they were all on there. In the Google search box, type the name of the site I've mentioned followed by "er s01e01" (or whichever one you want) and it will bring it up.

Oh Abby and Luka were my favourites. Unpopular opinion, I know.

I love the episode where Sam's ex shoots up the ER and kidnaps Sam and Alex and Abby goes into early labour. The episode where pratt dies killed me, you always think if they've made it to the end of one series they're safe for a while, but he died in episode one which was harsh.

I will never forget watching the first episode with my then flatmate. It just left us breathless.

So many great moments but one I'll never forget is when they brought in someone who'd been hit by the EL, a medical student called Gant hadn't turned up for work and when they started paging him, the pager went off in the patient's pocket- it was utterly shocking.

My favourite characters were Susan (I was as distraught as Mark when she left), Carter, Ross, Greene, Corday, Carrie Weaver and Lucy. Although I'd read spoilers, her death shocked me to the core.

It was great until about series 7, I gave up before the end as I just couldn't stand half the 'new" characters. I did watch the very last episode though.

I have a few early series on DVD, think I need to rewatch them.
