Tell me what's going on in your life. Today is pretty shit going for me. Anyone about?

That's exactly it - 'burying a body' is a no-brainer...pass the shovel over!

And please forgive me for talking about my own twin-ness so much, it's tricky to strike a balance between empathising with your loss and celebrating Zara and your twintastic times.

Growing up, we weren't so close (chose different secondary schools etc., different friendship groups), and now we speak/WhatsApp every day. How about you and Zara? Did you live near each other?

Frownette · 01/06/2019 19:32

It's ok to have an angry/off day - I think we often feel frustration and rage that people have 'left' us. As long as you're safe tonight, check back in

heartshapedpositnotes · 01/06/2019 19:34

Iljk - your family have some weird twin producing sorcery going on Grin. You need to get them all into a scientific study to see what the results will be!

lljkk · 01/06/2019 19:40

My mom's dad was a twin, too.
One of my dad's ... 10? nieces had fraternal twins.
I don't think I could cope with MSickness from twins. Singleton sickness was pretty brutal.

Ilikesweetpeas · 01/06/2019 19:58

@VladmirsPoutine thank you for your lovely reply about my DD getting her new uniform. Never revealed her name on MN before but it seems appropriate to say she's called Zara Smile I'm raising a glass to you both tonight Wine I can't imagine how tough it must be for you and how much you must miss her

VladmirsPoutine · 01/06/2019 20:18

@heartshapedpositnotes Zara and I lived together to the very end. We sort of just went our own ways, from our other sisters, but we stayed together. She was always there. She was frankly my other half.

@Ilikesweetpeas I can't believe you actually have an actual Zara! My Zara would be the one trying on the uniform and prancing about when I felt a bit anxious about new school. She'd grab my hand be like "This is Vlad, my identical twin! Look how fucking gorgeous we are!".

She was truly amazing.

@VladmirsPoutine it's such a beautiful name Smile My DD is very nervous but was also doing some proud prancing! Have you got friends to share the evening with ?

Level75 · 01/06/2019 20:36

Vlad, I'm an identical twin and I don't want to imagine your loss. I don't live with my sister any more but it's such a big part of your identity. I've described it to others as fitting one personality into 2 bodies. One consequence for me is that one of you becomes louder and the other quieter, that sort of thing. Underneath it though your initial responses to situations are identical, so for us we 'sign off' on the phone saying the same thing, we both get irritated by the same thing. Thinking of you. If I could work out the emoji thing I'd send flowers.

floraloctopus · 01/06/2019 21:14

Zara sounds like a wonderful woman, I'd love to have known her and to know you.

heartshapedpositnotes · 01/06/2019 21:34

Level25 and OP, I don't know about you but it felt like growing up we hated being referred to and thought as 'The Twins' (hence why me and mine went to different schools etc.). And then when you're adults you're like 'please please call us The Twins, we're so proud of this thing that we actually had no control over!!!!' Grin

floraloctopus · 01/06/2019 21:36

Have any of you twins watched the Planet Child episode talking about twins? Just watching it now.

Booming · 01/06/2019 21:43

floraloctopus · 02/06/2019 00:40

Oh no, nightmares are the pits. I can't sleep so I'm going be around.

DanFmDorking · 02/06/2019 00:45

Thought I saw Van Morrison the other day in my rear view mirror until I remembered that everything in a mirror is reversed.
Turned out to be a Morrison's van.

I've just moved into a Green Belt area.
Everyone I've met is half decent at karate.

(sorry)

Mother87 · 02/06/2019 01:13

My (handsomeBlush) 19 year old DS has just come home from stewarding @ a Spice Girls concert - with the following revelations : i never knew there were SO many women in this city/I never knew 'older' women could be so flirtatious/I never realised women could drink so much and be really rude and then fall everywhere/I never knew so many women would want so many selfies with meGrin
Bless - learnt a lot about women tonight he hasBlush

All light-relief for me as life's a bit tricky at the momentConfused

Mother87 · 02/06/2019 01:14

DanFmDorking those are worse than the worst Dad jokes DH always tells GrinGrin

Yabbers · 02/06/2019 23:11

@VladmirsPoutine

Still bleeding some. But there's no other issue so I've been assuming it's just that my period has coincidentally turned up!

I tried googling but no clear answer!

Thanks for the concern though ❤️
