I just looked and didn't find it, but have missed threads a few times as seem to always look in wrong place. If there is a thread please can you tag me in it?

I voted LibDem for the first time in my life.

CinnabarRed · 26/05/2019 21:35

My area isn’t due to report until 1am. Don’t think I’ll last.

NameChangeNugget · 26/05/2019 21:35

I’m thinking it’ll be a horrible night with the likes of Le Pen & Farage doing well Hmm

Interested in this thread?

Lewis Goodall reporting on Twitter from across the EU is very good.

CinnabarRed · 26/05/2019 21:38

Greens in Ireland up from 1.2% to 23%

Dockray · 26/05/2019 21:39

Lots of labour friends and family went with Lib Dems. Wasn't predicted to make a difference but some of the rumours flying around suggest they may have got a seat.

CinnabarRed · 26/05/2019 21:40

Greens taking 34% of Germany’s 18-34yo votes

CinnabarRed · 26/05/2019 21:42

Starting to look like the fragile Centre-Right and Centre-Left power balance in the European Parliament will depend on the Greens and Liberals, not the Far Right.

UK and France are (hopefully) outliers.

Cattenberg · 26/05/2019 21:44

I rarely drink these days, but I’ve dug out a small bottle of gin because I fear it’s going to be that kind of night.

CinnabarRed · 26/05/2019 21:45

(Sorry if I’m hogging the thread - do tell me to sod off if so. I’m just excited to find people in the UK who are finally interested in EU elections.)

HairyToity · 26/05/2019 21:47

Me and my husband voted lib dem. My parents and brothers who have always voted conservatories didn't vote. They were too disgusted with the conservatives. Only my mum voted for brexit and she's changed her mind about it. Decided it's harder than she realised, and doesn't want chlorinated chicken from America.

AutumnCrow · 26/05/2019 21:48

You crack on, Cinnabar. It's all fascinating.

venturingback · 26/05/2019 21:54

Joining with a glass of wine 🍷 no idea how this is going to go. I voted, and the polling booth near me was heaving, but who knows.

Sleepyhead11 · 26/05/2019 21:56

Cinnabar, I love your posts. I have four minutes to ten pm anxiety so characteristic of election nights.

I voted at just after 7am on my way to work, I was the only one there but I dont know what that means as I usually vote around 6:30pm after work. So tense!

Sleepyhead11 · 26/05/2019 22:01

Wait, why aren't there exit polls? Am I being really thick? I thought they were out at 10.

OP posts:
lljkk · 26/05/2019 22:01

R5 (until 3am !?) & BBC WS both covering these results. Like a Brexitcast Binge.

venturingback · 26/05/2019 22:02

First results in half an hour, both Conservatives and Labour are expecting a kicking

SpangledBoots · 26/05/2019 22:03

Love a good election results broadcast...I've even got snacks. Wine

CinnabarRed · 26/05/2019 22:06

Exit polls were illegal until 10pm UK, as that’s when the last actual polls closed across the EU.

Sleepyhead11 · 26/05/2019 22:06

Ah OK, so they will be out soon? Thanks Cinnabar

User12563356 · 26/05/2019 22:13
