I'll describe it. We've always both liked the symbol of an oak leaf/acorn. Found out after we booked the date that it was oak apple day. I found an ethical jeweller (the things you find out when planning a wedding) who had a gold ring with acorns and leaves around the front of the band. Small and stylised. I asked for it to be made in a purer gold to match the colour of my husband's.
My engagement ring was an antique emerald and seed pearl, and entirely impractical for daily wear, so I wear a gold and cabochon ruby ring that was my sister's with the wedding band. Good luck with your hunt!

Mine matches my Tiffany engagement ring and I love it it's my pride and joy!

Mine is a plain gold band so very traditional boring. Inside I have DH's name and our wedding date inscribed.

Ces6 I really wish I'd had the date inscribed. I have a total block about whether it is 28 or 29th, always second guess myself and get it wrong. DH thinks this is hilarious (luckily!). He has it on his!

daisypond · 24/05/2019 14:38

Mine is gold with a slight pattern engraved on it - belonged to my grandma. I’d never have anything with stones in for a wedding ring.

Pipandmum · 24/05/2019 14:38

It’s platinum. The top ring is my husband’s which we got made with a gentle depression (so it’s concave all around) to match my sharper valley (don’t know how else to describe it). The one with diamonds the engagement ring (from Liberty’s). I wear quite ethnic jewellery almost always silver rather than gold and this blended in. My mother however was not impressed!

Mine is a flat palladium 2mm ring, which means it’s flat sides on all sides which matches my engagement ring which is flat sided too. I have very small hands so I wanted a very thin band so it wasn’t too bulk on me. It’s very simple but I wanted a matching style ring to dh and he wouldn’t of wanted anything fancy.

These are mine. All heirlooms from my family. Wedding ring was my great nans, eternity ring was my nans and engagement ring was my mums.

Some beautiful rings here, thank you! @daisypond why would you not have stones in it?

I think traditionally diamonds in a wedding ring are bad luck. But I personally also find them too glitzy - a marriage is a working relationship that will need work to keep it going. A solid band with no interruptions expresses that to me. Also if you’re wearing it every day no chance of stones falling out and bring lost.

MaryBoBary · 24/05/2019 15:21

Thanks Daisy, something to think about.

I am traditional and just have a plain, simple gold band, it's what I always imagined having.
Not a fan of fancy, fussy wedding rings with stones in.

TrixieFranklin · 24/05/2019 15:37

Mine and DHs, I like diamonds so the more the merrier, but each to their own, it'll be on your finger every day for the rest of your life so needs to be something you love and suits you.

TrixieFranklin · 24/05/2019 15:37

Why won't my photo upload Blush

TrixieFranklin · 24/05/2019 15:38

I have a plain platinum wedding band, & gold & platinum diamond engagement ring.
In time I might get the engagement ring reset into just platinum.

White gold with gold edging. Quite simple. I went for white gold as I prefer silver to gold normally.

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 24/05/2019 16:33

A totally plain gold band. Never needs cleaning so i never have to take it off.
It's not left my finger since DH put it on there nearly 20 yrs ago.

MaryBoBary · 24/05/2019 16:38

Trixie that is very beautiful - do you mind me asking how much it cost and if you've ever had a stone fall out?

DappledThings · 24/05/2019 16:42

Also totally plain gold band. I refused to consider anything other than totally traditional.

Fancy rings with stones are for the engagement ring. I find wedding rings like that a bit tacky but it's not necessarily a popular opinion!

CatHopeful · 24/05/2019 16:43

I have a plain platinum band. I like the symbolism of the unbroken circle.

luckygreeneyes · 24/05/2019 16:47

Super plain and in need of a clean
