Great pics of him, Meghan looks radiant as usual.

OP posts:

Archibald! That would be fun. His name is lovely anyway

Agednotwine · 08/05/2019 19:53

Just looked at the close up again - and guess what - the baby's hair looks ginger! Just near the ears, you can see the hair colour!

Agednotwine · 08/05/2019 19:55

I think the fussing with the baby was trying to keep the hat covering the hair colour lol (I'm suspicious).

JaneEyre07 · 08/05/2019 21:27

I think baby is ginger, my grandchildren all are and have very similar eyebrow colour. It's a fab colour to be Grin

I also think that baby had a forceps bruise under his eye, looking at the close up on Sky News earlier. I think that's why they were reluctant to turn him round to get a clearer view.

escapade1234 · 08/05/2019 21:32

I thought they were hiding the hair on purpose too. Babies don’t really need hats indoors, do they? They probably thought everyone would be obsessing over whether the baby had African or ginger hair.

PatchworkElmer · 08/05/2019 21:49

@Agednotwine , what are you suspicious of? Genuine question, I’m confused.

Housewife2010 · 08/05/2019 22:01

They said that he was very hairy so I think he'll have dark hair. In my experience the hairiest babies have dark hair ( my daughter was born with a thick head of very dark hair, hairy ears, forehead and shoulders)

Timeistickingaway · 08/05/2019 22:12

I also thought they were hiding the hair. If he was a forceps delivery though his head would be bruised too.
I don’t like the name at all but it’s their choice.

Dontsayyouloveme · 08/05/2019 22:27

I thought Megan looked like she was on the verge of tears shortly after coming out earlier. She was certainly anxious and I could see her trembling at the start. I agree that a couple of pics would have been the best way to show the world the baby.

Agednotwine · 09/05/2019 00:19

Day three when baby blues hit probably wasn't the wisest choice for them, though she didn't cry (I did randomly whenever a doctor came around).
I thought Meghan looked lovely and very proud but needed to touch Harry a lot for a little bit of strength. She seemed to draw her strength from touching him.
I think her Mum will be a great help to her. She very pointedly mentioned her Mum in the conversation.

She seemed very vulnerable and giggly and unsure of herself.

I think she's a lovely woman and best of luck to her. I bet Doria is splitting the night shift.

She seems to be the breast-feeding type and God but that's not easy.

Agednotwine · 09/05/2019 00:21

From the few little hairs at his ears, he looks very fair!

SchadenfreudePersonified · 09/05/2019 16:18

I rather like the name Archie - not keen on Harrison though.

But then, they probably wouldn't be keen on my kids' names, so . . .

escapade1234 · 09/05/2019 17:38

Archie is ok-ish. Harrison is awful. Surname as given name is very American I know, but here I think it has other connotations. And the literal pointing out that he’s Harry’s son is unbelievably cringeworthy. You’d expect it off Katie Price.

TeenTimesTwo · 09/05/2019 17:46

Perhaps they are fans of The Archers. Dum de dum de dum de dum.

flowergrrl77 · 09/05/2019 17:53

So very happy for the Sussex family! Xx

TigerTooth · 09/05/2019 18:04

she should be resting and taking it easy

Oh well, she can do that for the rest of her life - with all the other ‘royals’.
We’ll just continue to toil away to pay for their privilege.

TigerTooth · 09/05/2019 18:11

just can't understand why they would conduct the interview standing up in a corridor in presumably a draught

🤣It wasn’t a corridor - it was a huge, grand, showy room - staged just to make sure we remember how ‘special’ they are, and I’m sure old Lizzie can afford the heating.

ShowMeTheKittens · 09/05/2019 18:12

Why does she keep doing that with her hair? Other than that, looks all cute.

Springwalk · 09/05/2019 18:24
  • the hair touching looks like nerves to me.
VladmirsPoutine · 09/05/2019 18:25

Among other things she's also touched her bump, touched Harry, and also touched her baby. I don't understand it either ShowMeTheKittens It's almost as like you know, she's human and has human tendencies.

LifeImplosionImminent · 09/05/2019 18:35

This thread started off so lovely - but then the joy sucking dickheads rolled in...

SophiaLarsen · 09/05/2019 18:47

I think she looked lovely. They all did. They were brave to opt for a mini interview. And really, most people ask bone questions about newborns because what else is there to say?!

Agree with pp about postpartum bleeding, not everyone has heavy so she'll have known what she's doing with the dress.

Ninkaninus · 09/05/2019 20:18

I thought the family photo (With the Queen, Prince Philip and Doria) was really lonely. Such a warm and cosy scene.

Mangosorbetrocks · 09/05/2019 20:31

Loved the pics but don’t like the baby’s name Hmm

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/05/2019 20:43

I’m sure old Lizzie can afford the heating

I wouldn't be too sure ... don't forget the palace had to scrap the idea of tapping a public fund for it Wink
