STUPID COURIER!

Hsaansnsn6776 · 04/05/2019 16:20

Ordered a beautiful window from eBay... not cheap! And the courier came earlier than expected and told them to leave it by the house... I didn’t have time to put it away yet and I went outside to find it on the floor and it’s smashed Sad who’s fault is this and what can I do to get money from down the drain (metaphor)

That’s a good question - how did they?

tinstar · 05/05/2019 00:38

Really unpleasant to refer to the courier as stupid op. And really no need to shout in your title.

You're on a hiding to nothing complaining about this. Just give it up.

blackcoffeeinbed · 05/05/2019 00:40

Definitely one of the worst attitudes I've come across on MN OP! Wow...

cstaff · 05/05/2019 01:05

I know this wasn't intended to be a funny thread but boy did it take a turn Grin.

Hsaansnsn6776 · 05/05/2019 08:33

Francis and stars- I’ve already answered that!

And to those telling me to give up and get rid of bad attitude etc. The reason I’m trying to just tell people to leave me alone is because I feel bad for the people who I may have angered and the situation has been resolved and hence people who are just trying to ‘catch me out’ are just getting on my nerves
Apologies to those but the situation is now resolved and i no longer need the advice.

Ah, but threads like this on MN remain for all eternity on the Internet, so that others may learn from mistakes made by others. If anyone else fancied blaming a courier for safely delivering an item, then leaving it for a period of time before dealing with the delivery, they would now know that it is cf-ery of the highest order, to try to claim against the courier.
(They may also learn that if they order a window from ebay, there's a chance it might arrive with no packaging!)

MacrosomicMumma · 05/05/2019 10:32

This is definitely up there with one of my favourite threads of all time.

TheCanterburyWhales · 05/05/2019 10:37

It tickles me that the OP wants the thread to sink into oblivion (and who could blame her) yet is the one to bump it after nobody had posted for 7 hours!

adviceneedesprettyplease · 05/05/2019 10:38

Who on earth sends a window with no packaging ? Surely that's a really stupid idea? ... maybe I need to inform them glass breaks easily

LizB62A · 05/05/2019 10:57

Was it already damaged when you saw that it was in the wrong place ? ( and you left it because you couldn't move it)

ILoveMaxiBondi · 05/05/2019 11:11

Maybe if you leave the thread outside it will blow overboard in the wind and smash.

(You could also hide it using the hide thread function)

Gingerkittykat · 05/05/2019 11:28

How was it resolved? Did they offer to refund?

gamerchick · 05/05/2019 11:49

Grin Just hide the thread OP, people will lose interest in a few days.
SillyMoomin · 05/05/2019 12:01

“This thread has been deleted due to privacy concerns”

Bet that’s coming

Op, stop throwing a hissy fit

TheCanterburyWhales · 05/05/2019 12:05

Ah. The privacy issue.
In all fairness, there can't be many people leaving mahoosive panes of glass in their garden while various family members come and go without having the gumption to shift it.

VanGoghsDog · 05/05/2019 18:38

So, suddenly two stupid couriers...... excellent drip feeding on here. Professional standard!

Marleyj8 · 23/01/2020 18:08

@Hsaansnsn6776 sorry it's an old thread but couldn't resist. Thank you for the entertainment! One of the best threads in AGES

CustomerCervixDepartment · 23/01/2020 21:32

If you used punctuation other than ‘....’ and ‘!!!!’ we would be able to understand your posts.

Leaving a delivery lying at your arse and then wanting money when it inevitably gets broken is a bit rich, but.........!!!!!!....!!!!

CustomerCervixDepartment · 23/01/2020 21:34

Oh for fucks sake, WHY restart a zombie thread ? Wasting our fucking time Marley.

Marleyj8 · 24/01/2020 15:50

@CustomerCervixDepartment
I didn't ask you to contribute to the thread, regardless of whether it's an old thread or not.

Marleyj8 · 24/01/2020 15:51

I can post on any thread I wish without asking your permission. I found the thread entertaining and wished to say so.
So there!
Smile

ZeroFuchsGiven · 24/01/2020 16:08

haha this is comedy gold! Especially the last few posts Grin

starfishmummy · 24/01/2020 16:43

and meanwhile started a tread [sic] to see if I had an argument!!!

The only person who is arguing is you. Everyone is saying that this is your fault. You accepted responsibility when you told them to leave it. That it wasnt taken in immediately isnt their fault.

And as for I’m going to ask for you guys to stop posting on here them maybe you need a reality check about what a public forum is before you start any more tantrums threads
