I'm starting with Bank.

Does the DLR count?

If so, my favourite station......

Mudchute

MaudAndOtherPoems · 03/05/2019 17:39

On the contrary, DameMargaret, we are allowed to mention the 1946 incident in passing, as long as we don’t dwell on any of the details concerning the Adjutant General, the fire engine or the crate of pomegranates. With that in mind, let us move toot sweet to

Theydon Bois

Justonemorepancake · 03/05/2019 17:43

I'm playing it entirely safe with a level 26b, subsection hedgehog move, straight in with Arnos Vale. No eye rolling at the back, please.

ForalltheSaints · 03/05/2019 17:59

Oh dear, an error in station naming, not allowed since the Grand Council decree after the incident at the 1987 Budapest tournament.

So back to the move before last and with the aid of the closed lines rule I move to Ongar.

MaudAndOtherPoems · 03/05/2019 18:26

Gosh, Saints, we’re seeing your ruthless streak today. Perhaps something has triggered a memory of that balmy evening in Baden Baden in July ‘72?

East Croydon

elephantoverthehill · 03/05/2019 18:31

A reverse contraction to Brent Cross for me.

ForalltheSaints · 03/05/2019 18:53

With the aid of the Northern Heights extension rule I can go via Edgware to Mill Hill East. There was a plan after Baden Baden to have a meeting of the Grand Council in Mill Hill East until someone realised that there was no platform 2 for the members to meet up on.

BBBear · 03/05/2019 19:08

Apologies for my lateness - I was helping Lady V get the Colonel in the bath. He insists on having it in front of the fire and it's a bugger to fill.

Anyway, I'm going with... West Ham!

Debenhamshandtowel · 03/05/2019 19:39

I stepped out for a moment and someone seems to have spilt their Bolli on the board. Hmphh, now Cockfosters is wet.

Arsenal

ForalltheSaints · 03/05/2019 20:32

I think we have to be more central on a Friday evening and so move to Russell Square. Not sure where to get a good glass of red wine nearby, perhaps a fellow player of the game of games can help.

JellicleCat · 03/05/2019 20:47

Staying central - Marble Arch

MaudAndOtherPoems · 03/05/2019 21:05

Hmm. That’s rather stymied the move I had in mind, but I think I see a way of retrieving the situation

Holborn

DameMargaretofChalfont · 03/05/2019 21:33

OMG Smile I'm so proud of my next move.

Ladies of MN I present you with the amazing whammie that is:-

Burlington Arcade!!!!

I feel that I've really pulled a blinder with that forgotten gem.

elephantoverthehill · 03/05/2019 21:39

Sorry but Vauxhall always trumps the arcade.

BertBox · 03/05/2019 21:47

I guess there's only Embankment I can play now, unless I'm allowed to reverse?

DameMargaretofChalfont · 03/05/2019 21:49

Sorry Bert - no reversing allowed unless you've achieved a minimum score of 289 on the outer line.

If you have hit the magical 289 then reverse away.

BertBox · 03/05/2019 21:52

Thanks - I'll stick with Embankment then!

DameMargaretofChalfont · 03/05/2019 21:58

Bert - I salute your honesty Smile

elephantoverthehill · 03/05/2019 22:01

With this level of play the 'Crescent' is rising soon. So I am to go Swiss Cottage to lead you all down a blind alley. Get out of there, if you can.

Debenhamshandtowel · 03/05/2019 22:29

I hope you’re wearing your shin guards elephant ? That was a bold move.

I’ll take a lazy Elephant & Castle

IrenetheQuaint · 03/05/2019 22:38

Some interesting moves here Hmm

I think my only realistic option is

Hampstead

Debenhamshandtowel · 03/05/2019 22:46

Highgate

pineapplebryanbrown · 03/05/2019 22:49

May i suggest Ravenscourt Park? A genteel and little known station.

BertBox · 03/05/2019 23:13

It's good, but I'll raise you Gidea Park!

ForalltheSaints · 04/05/2019 06:40

It is Saturday and so the rail replacement bus rule can be used. Which is a frequent occurrence at Gidea Park, nothing to do with the suppliers of the Colonel's tin bath being nearby. Only a player of the game of games would have a tin bath nowadays.

Newbury Park
