I'm starting with Bank.

Short hop up to Shepherds Bush

AutumnCrow · 01/05/2019 22:04

The recently unearthed Thringleford archives give some astonishing insights into the gameplay of the Bloomsbury set, back in day. Mimicking their counter-intuitive 'pimbling', I say

Angel

Will0wtree · 01/05/2019 22:11

I don't think I've ever seen Angel played in a proper competitive game, I'll be very interested to see who counters this.

Well that's an astonishing comeback. I need to think.

Colindale

Cherryblossomandcornflakes · 01/05/2019 23:09

Playing the triple accumulator here and going with>
Bromley-by-bow...

ForalltheSaints · 02/05/2019 07:13

Starting with Bank. On a Wednesday! This has not been seen since the epic game in 1984. No wonder the Colonel or Maud have yet to be seen playing this game.

With the aid of the London Overground rule or maybe the bus replacement rule depending on what is happening today, I move via Barking to Blackhorse Road.

Wincarnis · 02/05/2019 07:23

Tool late I remembered (and reminded by pp thank you) that Colindale should only be approached on Tuesdays. Before we receive a complaint from Mrs Trellis, let’s have a quick jaunt to Seven Sisters.

BillyBusStop · 02/05/2019 07:41

This early in the morning I'm gonna shake you all up with Covent Garden...

You didn't see that coming did you?

sashh · 02/05/2019 07:52

Now this is tricky, but I think U can just about get to East Finchley

Cherryblossomandcornflakes · 02/05/2019 08:46

Maud would never have played East Finchley so soon after Seven sisters....I think you're doomed sassh

Debenhamshandtowel · 02/05/2019 08:53

I know everyone’s thinking deeply but I think the ONLY way to go from there is Great Portland Street?

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 02/05/2019 10:36

I love watching Mornington Crescent. It's got great spectator value, though the catering used to be better.

moaningitsabingthing · 02/05/2019 12:59

Ep...PING!

You’re welcome

MatthewBramble · 02/05/2019 14:25

Are we playing the Trumpington-Cass convention (which allows closed stations)? If so, Blake Hall (if not New Cross Gate)!

HeidioftheAlps · 02/05/2019 14:31

Grange Hill

WeeDangerousSpike · 02/05/2019 14:41

Blackfriars

ForalltheSaints · 02/05/2019 17:01

The early use of the Thameslink rule to try to confuse us, well tried.

I have to agree about Maud and East Finchley. I understand one of her husbands had been an usher at the local cinema, which has now gone downmarket by having a patron who had not been to Oxford or Cambridge.

We have to move eastwards given the clever play yesterday and so it is off to Mansion House.

Debenhamshandtowel · 02/05/2019 17:07

Those rules don’t ring a Bell Matthew. I’ll Fry to look them up.

Surely @BertrandRussell should be invited to play?

Russell Square

JudyDenchsBloomers · 02/05/2019 17:46

I'm not following any of this Grin

PuddleglumtheMarshWiggle · 02/05/2019 17:55

Am not sure how the Thameslink Rule applies when there is a full moon and the 2nd of the month falls on a Thursday but I'm taking a risk and playing....
Ladbrokes Grove!

JellicleCat · 02/05/2019 18:20

Good move. That means it has to be Putney Bridge.

Debenhamshandtowel · 02/05/2019 18:35

Great move Jelli. A classic.

Leicester Square

JellicleCat · 02/05/2019 19:20

I've never played Thameslink rules, can you reverse diagonally?

Anyway, think I'll go for Swiss Cottage.
