I found a recipe on BBC Good Food for Greek lamb with new potatoes and we will be serving with salad. Far too warm for a huge stodgy meal and want to be outside! Lol

CookieSwirlC · 21/04/2019 12:39

No but because we’re out and about so won’t have time to cook one. We’ll be having ours tomorrow.

CostanzaG · 21/04/2019 12:42

Yes!! I've been looking forward to it all week!

SneakyGremlins · 21/04/2019 12:44

Too hot.

I'm having a tub of ice cream sandwich later! That's all.

Japonicaflower2 · 21/04/2019 12:44

I've put a leg of lamb, on low, in the slow cooker with garlic, red wine and shallots but just eaten chicken tikka pieces with homemade coleslaw and salad so not sure if will feel hungry enough for lamb and all the trimmings later 😟
I rather fancy an ice cream now.....🍦

bushtailadventures · 21/04/2019 12:45

We've just eaten one! Had to have it early because DS has work in a couple of hours, but it was lovely. I only really do roasts a couple of times a year, so even if it was 30 degrees outside I'd still cook it. I have leftovers for later too.

MrsAmaretto · 21/04/2019 12:45

Yes, because it’s 12 degrees and cloudy here. Not all of the uk is basking in sunshine (bitter)

listsandbudgets · 21/04/2019 12:46

No. Got lamb for later in the week but take away from our local Syrian restaurant today.. they know how to cook for the heat :)

Rinceoir · 21/04/2019 12:46

Lamb and mint burgers for us (just made burgers which are chilling before cooking!).

TeenTimesTwo · 21/04/2019 12:46

We had ours on Thursday when my DPs visited.

happyhillock · 21/04/2019 12:48

No family going out for lunch soon, just having something simple for supper

WhatNowRandy · 21/04/2019 12:49

I don't want one, but I've promised to make one. I don't even like them at the best of times. :(

RosamundDarnley · 21/04/2019 12:51

Yep, but it's for this evening when we have our dinner normally.
Lunch in summer is always a salad.

Sexnotgender · 21/04/2019 12:52

Having loads of family over so I’ve made a couple of curries. I obviously didn’t anticipate the ridiculous weather so it’s maybe not ideal but got some nice cold beers in the fridge and plenty of gin and tonic.

Looking forward to it.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 21/04/2019 12:52

It's Easter Sunday so got to be a roast lamb dinner followed by Easter lemon pavlova
But we aren't eating till 8 as DS will be at the football all afternoon

longearedbat · 21/04/2019 12:52

Oh yes, we've got sirloin of beef tonight; special easter treat for 91 year old fil. If it was just us we would have bbq'd, but he finds tender roast meat easier to eat. However, cold alcoholic drinks will be drunk in the garden beforehand.

WhatNowRandy · 21/04/2019 12:52

Ours will be a nut roast, and definitely for the evening, too. I hope I'll digest my chocolate egg and stop feeling quesy by then.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 21/04/2019 12:53

We have roast beef in the slow cooker, but won't be eating it until about 6pm.

sackrifice · 21/04/2019 12:53

Yes later. Veggie roast but I have to go dig up the leeks for the leek and cheese dish I will be making, and I have loads of radishes just coming good now so will roast a fair few, got in gluten free yorkies and stuffing so we've had a small lunch and will have a proper roast this evening.

loveonthewall · 21/04/2019 12:54

Absolutely! Prosciutto wrapped rump and a honey gammon with fondant potatoes, buttered cabbage, baby carrots and cauliflower cheese. Love cooking a roast and eating it

crispsahoy · 21/04/2019 12:55

Would love one but not make one.
I've just had a fried egg sandwich well half as didn't enjoy it.
We're using one of our simply cook recipes tonight

BrilliantYou · 21/04/2019 12:58

Yup... had already planned a roast chicken dinner so DH is on making it now. Not going all out tho. Probably just boiled new potatoes and some greens instead of roast potatoes and all the trimmings.

Princess1066 · 21/04/2019 12:59

Nope - fan on oven broken Sad

PJLove80 · 21/04/2019 13:00

MrsAmaretto - where are you? Thought everywhere was boiling! Sorry you are missing out!

DropZoneOne · 21/04/2019 13:01

Yes! I bought lamb for DH and DD and nut roast for me yesterday. Will be for dinner at 6ish though not lunchtime.
