@Raspberrytruffle - what’s Gunpowder pork, please - it sounds fascinating!

TheFallenMadonna · 21/04/2019 14:26

Butterflied leg of lamb on the barbecue. But not 'til later.

Butterymuffin · 21/04/2019 14:27

Mmm love leeks in cheese sauce. Having roast chicken but grabbed some salad yesterday to accompany.

Livingthedream12345 · 21/04/2019 14:37

Yes, DD is with ex...I'm home alone with the dogs...still cooking a roast...love a roast!
I'm working from home today so shall have a chilled glass of bubbly to go with it.

WorraLiberty · 21/04/2019 14:48

Yes! DH cooks one every Sunday come rain or shine. He just serves it at a bit of a cooler temperature. I can't wait.

AppleKatie · 21/04/2019 14:57

No bbq today and covering the kids in suncream feels like June... in Spain.

Crikeyblimey · 21/04/2019 15:00

FookMeFookYou · 21/04/2019 15:02

Drogonssmile · 21/04/2019 15:02

Nope we're having a BBQ (had one yesterday too) Grin

yearinyearout · 21/04/2019 15:03

Had a lovely lamb roast and will be heading to the pub beer garden in an hour ☀️

Longdistance · 21/04/2019 15:05

Yes, I bought the lamb, and it’ll go in the oven. It will get served outside though. No bbq at the mo as we need a new one.

Justtrying · 21/04/2019 15:06

Roast leg of Lamb for us about 7pm, with minted jersey royals, roast potatoes, carrot and Swede mash, cabbage and leeks, broccoli and peas. Followed by cheesecake with fresh berries and cream.

Love a roast and do one whenever I'm off in a Sunday. Rare for me to be off in a bank holiday so making the most of it.

CakeNinja · 21/04/2019 15:11

Dp has butterflied a leg of lamb and it is marinading (marinating?) right now, will be cooked on the bbq at about 6, we have got our neighbours coming round to eat with us!
It will be served with roasted (on the bbq) peppers which I’ll peel and dress in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, griddled asparagus, a big green salad, some form of sautéed potatoes and halloumi.
Can’t bloody wait.
Our kitchen is my favourite room of the house when it’s warm, we put bifolding doors in so the whole of the back of the house opens up into the garden which makes cooking really nice and easy!

stickerqueen · 21/04/2019 15:18

no roast here hubby said it's too hot and dd announced she hates eating lamb so not bothered making a roast. if dd had said yesterday she didn't like lamb I would have brought beef arrghh

UCOinanOCG · 21/04/2019 15:23

We invited FIL for lunch so did a roast chicken dinner with all the trimmings then rhubarb crumble and ice cream. It was lovely sitting in the dining room with the patio doors open and a cool breeze flowing through.

BarkandCheese · 21/04/2019 15:25

I did this www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1161638/garlic-and-herb-roast-lamb-on-boulangre-potatoes . It’s really easy and doesn’t need all the trimmings, I just did tender stem broccoli and peas, followed by ready made lemon tart which I jazzed up with some raspberries and a dusting of icing sugar and served with whipped cream.

We ate at lunchtime because it’s also my Mum's birthday today and she prefers coming for lunch than dinner.

Ginkythefangedhellpigofdoom · 21/04/2019 15:29

No it's just the two of us so we're having dirty fries and he will have the sirloin steak that was yellow stickered to half price when I went into marks and spencer to get them. I don't eat meat so just that stinking chips for me!

Backwoodsgirl · 21/04/2019 15:33

Yes full roast for us here

JourneyToThePlacentaOfTheEarth · 21/04/2019 15:39

Full roast, leg of lamb, can't wait! Kids are currently being sprayed by the hose as it's so hot

ChidiAnnaKendrick · 21/04/2019 15:54

We are but it’s not hot/labour intensive to produce. Lamb is in the oven, I’ve prepped cauliflower cheese & roast potatoes. Also made Yorkshire batter and chopped some carrots. Just need to throw things in at the right time now and make some gravy to serve Smile

FloofyDoof · 21/04/2019 15:57

Yes, we are having roast beef with all the nice stuff, and a lovely looking passion fruit and raspberry cheesecake for dessert, but not until this evening, probably at around 7.30. Its all prepped ready.

We had spicy chicken with salad for lunch at 12.30ish. Its unusual for all 3 of us (me DS 20 and DD 18) to be at home on a Sunday due to work schedules and social lives, so we are having a nice quiet day of doing not much at all.

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree · 21/04/2019 15:59

No. We had fancy burgers in brioche slices with salad, blue cheese dressing, smoked cheese, bbq sauce, onion rings and sweet potato chips. Later we're having a slow-cooked curry.

The only time we have a roast dinner is on Christmas day.

stucknoue · 21/04/2019 15:59

Roast lamb, never too warm

Chilledout11 · 21/04/2019 16:02

Cooked a turkey stuffing and garlic potatoes. It's Easter Sunday Wink so has to be a roast for us

Thrupennybrit · 21/04/2019 16:04

Yup, family are here so have had roast beef and all the trimmings, treacle tart for pud. Was yum and I am stuffed. Happy Easter
