Crazy money spent by you or someone you know

I'm talking spending £10k on dinner for 2 or £30k on 3 bottles of wine (not investments just to drink) etc?

Anyone got any good stories of shocking amounts of money they (or people in their company) have spent? Houses and cars don't count.

I've only ever seen this on tv shows with one exception.

I don't think I'd ever have so much money I could drop £1,000 on a yoga mat etc

£300 on lunch.
It was 8 courses, fine dining, cocktails and the wine flight... but it was still lunch.

£1600 on two meet and greet tickets. Then the hotel and travel on top.

It was so good I did it again a few months later 😂

The $2400 DH spent on a full-service ratcatching treatment (including cameras up the pipes and a revolting antibacterial bomb thing that was completely unnecessary and coated all the surfaces with a sticky film when mopping the floor with bleach would have been more than adequate) because he saw a mouse. There were no rats. We still have mice.

We took literally thousands in tips every week. We had to stuff all our cash tips into a box next to the computers, and were then handed a tiny envelope each week with about 50 quid in it Angry We were told it was shared out between all the kitchen staff and managers and that was our fair share. I worked there 6 months and never once got my credit card tips Sad

@Unclebuck3 I never got any credit card tips when I was a waitress as a teen. I always tip in cash.

We spent about 14k on a holiday but it was a cruise so definitely worth it.
