For me it's a microwave - never had one and never will.

Clearly a 'must have' amongst the mums round here where I live is a Range Rover to drive your kids the very short, walkable distance to school. Don't have one or want one Grin

Car

All subscription entertainment (Spotify etc) services except Netflix

Coffee machine (have an ancient bialetti moka pot that was given to my dad in the 80s in sicily that was definitely not new when he was given it) that works a treat and makes espresso like tar, just how I like it.

Social media except Facebook so I can see what's on locally for dc and sign in to stuff easily.

DVD player, we have a gaming pc and use our TV as the monitor so don't need one.

Echo, alexa, Google dot etc.

A thermostat on the boiler. Have to turn heating on and off manually or set up a timer for X amount of time. Causes endless arguments about the temperature of the house as I'd have it a good ten degrees warmer than dp.

Trainers. I do very little exercise and they are not my style for everyday wear. (do have snow boots that are quite trainer like though)

Iron, microwave, dishwasher (for op that asked- I can't see the point? Loading and unloading , having to get all the bits off first and not being able to wash half my stuff / having to replace half my stuff- it can't possibly save time, effort or energy! It takes under ten minutes to wash a days worth for a family of four. Not that exerting)

And the biggest one for us is central heating. One room is heated by the log burner but all bedrooms/ bathroom/ kitchen are entirely without heating. We manage fine, but over the last decade I've noticed that guests increasingly complain about it. I think people are less used to the cold than in previous years 🤔

Ffsnosexallowed · 12/04/2019 19:53

Dishwasher, got rid of ours when we got a new kitchen, much prefer the extra cupboard space
