I was going to say the same.

TheDrsDocMartens · 09/04/2019 14:17

M&S are nice but a bit too sticky. Booths are good too.

MaidofKent78 · 09/04/2019 14:17

I've heard good things about them. Don't bother with the apple and cinnamon version.

TheDrsDocMartens · 09/04/2019 14:17

I stick to traditional ones.

hidinginthenightgarden · 09/04/2019 14:17

Waitrose chocolate orange are delish!

INeedNewShoes · 09/04/2019 14:18

If anyone knows of any soya-free, Palm oil-free hot cross buns please tell me. I love hot cross buns but haven't found any I can eat in recent years 😭

Saucery · 09/04/2019 14:24

Booths Belgian Chocolate and Fudge are divine,

Jellyfloodagain · 09/04/2019 14:25

I vote for the Aldi rhubarb and custard ones too. They are so good.

Bombalarino · 09/04/2019 14:28

Another vote here for Waitrose chocolate orange

downcasteyes · 09/04/2019 14:31

I wish to register a protest about the messing about with hot cross buns, aka THE CRIME OF BUN FIDDLING.

There is nothing wrong with traditional buns. They are lovely just as they are with mixed peel and raising and cinnamon. Stop putting experimental ingredients in like chocolate or cranberries or cucumbers! Grin

I'm a BUNDAMENTALIST.

dingit · 09/04/2019 14:36

Tesco raspberry and white choc

EyeDrops · 09/04/2019 14:36

Good old Sainsbury's bakery ones for me. Anything else is wrong and disappointing!

Thecatisboss · 09/04/2019 14:37

I found the rhubarb and Custard ones too sweet. Booths chocolate and fudge were lovely quite brioche like I thought.

However I want nice traditional ones for Easter weekend and none I've tried so far Booths, Waitrose etc have been outstanding. I've threatened to make some myself at this rate.

EngagedAgain · 09/04/2019 14:42

I have come on to say I don't like the new fangled one's. It's not a proper hot cross bun. Not sure of the best. I got some Tesco finest, but a bit too heavy for my liking.

Hidingtonothing · 09/04/2019 14:52

I like the Tesco Finest, the extra fruit ones.

mummymayhem18 · 09/04/2019 14:54

The Marks and Spencer's Salted Caramel and Chocolate ones are lush. Very moist and yummy 😋

Sunandseaside · 09/04/2019 14:56

I really need to find a yummy one that is dairy free!

64sNewName · 09/04/2019 15:00

Like last year, my love is all for the M&S sweet orange marmalade ones.

DeadCertain · 09/04/2019 15:01

Another vote for the Aldi rhubarb ones!!

Sexnotgender · 09/04/2019 15:05

I second this! I hate dried fruit so these are great.

mummymayhem18 · 09/04/2019 15:24

The trouble is @Sexnotgender that they are too yummy 😋🤣. M&S bakery is all good 👍

Ofthread · 09/04/2019 15:26

Us traditional bun people need our own thread. Rhubarb wtf?

adultcat · 09/04/2019 15:38

@sunandseaside sainsburys and Tesco bakery fresh ones are DF! Also coop pre-packed ones I believe!

magicstar1 · 09/04/2019 15:43
