My vote is for the Aldi rhubarb and custard ones

Just eaten two in quick succession with a wedge of norpak Lurpak in the middle

M&S are nice but a bit too sticky. Booths are good too.

I've heard good things about them. Don't bother with the apple and cinnamon version.

I stick to traditional ones.

Waitrose chocolate orange are delish!

If anyone knows of any soya-free, Palm oil-free hot cross buns please tell me. I love hot cross buns but haven't found any I can eat in recent years 😭

I wish to register a protest about the messing about with hot cross buns, aka THE CRIME OF BUN FIDDLING.

There is nothing wrong with traditional buns. They are lovely just as they are with mixed peel and raising and cinnamon. Stop putting experimental ingredients in like chocolate or cranberries or cucumbers!

I'm a BUNDAMENTALIST.

Tesco raspberry and white choc

Good old Sainsbury's bakery ones for me. Anything else is wrong and disappointing!

I found the rhubarb and Custard ones too sweet. Booths chocolate and fudge were lovely quite brioche like I thought.

However I want nice traditional ones for Easter weekend and none I've tried so far Booths, Waitrose etc have been outstanding. I've threatened to make some myself at this rate.

I have come on to say I don't like the new fangled one's. It's not a proper hot cross bun. Not sure of the best. I got some Tesco finest, but a bit too heavy for my liking.

I like the Tesco Finest, the extra fruit ones.

The Marks and Spencer's Salted Caramel and Chocolate ones are lush. Very moist and yummy 😋

I really need to find a yummy one that is dairy free!

Like last year, my love is all for the M&S sweet orange marmalade ones.

I second this! I hate dried fruit so these are great.

@sunandseaside sainsburys and Tesco bakery fresh ones are DF! Also coop pre-packed ones I believe!
