Mothers day dinner - what's on your plate?

Looking for some inspiration as I feel I'm getting boring and predictable. Preparing a mothers day dinner this evening and I always go for the usual roast beef or chicken. I had thought about making lasagne but we had that with friends on Friday.

I also have 3 quarters tub of sour cream left over in the fridge....

We are having an afternoon tea type lunch followed by roast lamb later

Fajitas to use up the sour cream.

God knows my ovens broken so probably beans on toast.

Might be pizza as I made tomato sauce over a week ago so needs using up but only if it's not growing something first.

My 4th mother's day as a mum, 4th one cooking my own dinner (and everyone else's!)

Being taken out to my favourite restaurant for lunch then staying over at DD and GS's house. I've sent my DM a card and will give her a call this morning

Husband is cooking a roast beef dinner. We’re on holiday with my in-laws so have put him in charge today!

Leftovers from bbq yesterday - so they don’t go tough on warming I’ll put the left over lamb in slow cooker with stock and flavourings for a few hours. There is rice too.

No idea yet hoping for inspiration before I go food shopping or I will just buy random crap.

DC and I are going out for long walk later, so not bothering with cooking. We're having KFC as a treat instead.

Chicken pie with roast mini potatoes, roast carrots and Savoy cabbage.

Some Dexter beef, rolled. Rib or something . Easy to Chuck in the oven

Roast chicken with garlic parmesan roast potatoes, and salad on the side.

Need to walk to Lidl first though, for the salad. Need to consider getting dressed before that too... :)

Hubs and lil ones delivered me a cuppa in bed and said they are taking me to nandos for lunch 😀😀 so we will just have sarnies or soup at tea time!! 😀😀

I have requested Indian takeaway for dinner, followed by ice cream :)

Lunch is oven pizza and salad.

Roast pork with (hopefully) crispy crackling and all the trimmings.

I’m cooking because I love it, especially as I have a lovely bottle of wine to sip. Hopefully DH and kids will do all the washing up while I relax and watch whatever I want on tv!

OH is working today so I've just put some diced beef in the slow cooker with homepride red wine sauce, will do veg, mash, roast potatoes and Yorkshire's. Then strawberry cheesecake. Yum 😋

Nothing. I'm a single mum to a 4yr old who's father is awol! Just an ordinary Sunday for us. Probably something from the freezer.

At 12 mil is coming over and then dh is doing home made scones, sandwiches and champagne with the help of dc of course for me and her 😃

Tonight dh is cooking garlic and chilli roast chicken, huge amount of cauliflower cheese, broccoli covered in butter and carrots & more champagne

Think dh has made a chocolate Guinness cake for dessert tonight

Depends what time dh gets home from work. Probably something quick in the oven (that I'll do myself).

No idea, we're out all afternoon, non-mother's day related, food will be incidental and probably in the form of a burger or pizza.

Fuck all. DH is taking his Mum and 3/4 DC out for lunch and I’m ferrying the other one around and squeezing in a flying visit to my Mum.

I might have some nice cheese and crackers and a g&t tonight...

I seemed to have fallen prey to a horrendous virus this weekend, not keeping much down.

DH traveling for work, so I still need to feed DC.

Takeaway! It's either Japanese or pizza. Can't decide. And as many peanut butter chocolates as I can fit into myself.
