Drama in the local Facebook group.

A hairdresser opened up a salon in our village and spammed posted frequently in the village Facebook page about it.

The one and only Admin got annoyed and requested she stop. She kicked off, others joined the fray, pointing out that her posts were better than the ones about dog poo.

The admin archived the group in retaliation. He's just opened it up and announced he's quitting as admin.

So that's our scandal. Any going on in yours? It's better than Coronation Street.

somebody complains about seeing lots of dog poo where they live and low and behold when they get home someone else has bagged up a load of said poo and dumped it on their doorstep!

the lights arent working.

RedCrab · 02/04/2019 10:38

It’s actuallt really comforting to know that across the nation, people are complaining and being bonkers about the same things Grin

JuniorAsparagus · 02/04/2019 11:00

Asda car park. Again. The worst car park in the country. I daren't tell them we've never had a problem with it.
It did make me smile this morning that someone had parked a pick up truck on the space marked pick up. No doubt they'll be slated later.

RedCrab · 02/04/2019 11:06

There’s currently a small argument brewing when someone posted something slightly odd but she doesn’t live in the local area - only used to. So people are questioning why she’s posting, and she’s replied “Sally Smith (not real name) is my cousin!” And everyone is “who is Sally Smith?? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️“

The council aren't clearing the sand when the wind blows it

Justanothermile · 02/04/2019 12:20

All the usual -

Dog poo
Housing developments
Parking, especially at school time.
Some poor kid that's walked round the village in a hoody that is now a 'suspicious character'
Ditto anyone with a white van that slows down driving down a street, presumably looking for an address.
Dog poo.
Dog poo
Dog poo.

😁

melissasummerfield · 02/04/2019 12:30

@VillageEejit that has just made me laugh out loud in a very small very quiet hospital waiting room Grin

catisbeingsick · 02/04/2019 13:33

Anyone else having an issue with virgin? (Surprisingly no virgin jokes yet)

Oh the bloody vans with the Eastern European looking people in !

MissEliza · 02/04/2019 15:36

Anyone else's electricity out in Station Road? Erm .... why don't you go and actually talk to your neighbours?

GreenTulips · 02/04/2019 15:47

Or look out of the window?

LimeKiwi · 02/04/2019 16:09

So that's our scandal. Any going on in yours?

I bloody love our local FB post, it's better than the soaps lol!
Any given day there'll be a picture of a car uploaded of some "stupid arse parked like a muppet" or someone kicking off at the local takeaway as their burger and chips are cold and shit translates as I've eaten half of it it and I want a freebie then everyone piles in Grin

The other group (there's 2) not so much. Look in it every now and again but there's far too many racist twats in there, I come away feeling depressed instead of entertained. Meh

FluffyBumps · 02/04/2019 16:13

Someone keeps dumping dead fish at the local playing field. Confused

catisbeingsick · 02/04/2019 19:42

Someone put up a makeshift swing on the green, then someone took it down because they didn't like people hanging out at the new swing then someone put it up again, I'm sure someone will let us know when it gets taken down again!

HelmutFrontbut · 03/04/2019 14:45

We've recently had someone accuse a woman of murdering her husband. TBF the woman (whose visa was just about to expire) just married a man 30 years older than her and he died nine days after the wedding in 'suspicious circumstances'. The authorities have been alerted apparently 😱

Hearhere · 03/04/2019 16:47

wtf didnt anyone tell her to wait at least 28 days!

BearSoFair · 03/04/2019 17:20

Just some routine bin drama on ours. As usual, loads not collected on the planned days. Some people are waking up to find any remaining space in their bins has been filled up by others overnight, other streets are getting rubbish dumped on the corners, lots of missed collection reports logged with the council who will eventually get everyone's bins sorted and streets cleared...and then in a few weeks it all happens again!

ItsHardToExplain · 03/04/2019 22:10

My mum told me there was utter outrage and talk of protests and petitions on her local fb when her small town were building on a pretty, grassy park.
When they found out it would be a Waitrose with a cafe they suddenly decided it would be fine after all Hmm

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 03/04/2019 23:51

My favourite recently was that someone had posted a picture of a car belonging to the traffic warden parked in the car park without a ticket in the window. It was sign written etc. so it was definitely his. They were most affronted that he’d not paid to park. Cue scores of similarly affronted and indignant posts about how unfair it was and one rule for them etc and how he should have to pay to park. Not one person pointed out that he probably didn’t have to pay to park, or if he did that he’d probably done it online as he’d never have enough change. Grin

I didn’t dare post, obviously. Was really funny though.

alltoomuchrightnow · 04/04/2019 00:04

We have Daffodilgate,

''If you notice daffodils missing on ** road near the big roundabout we have just confronted a young man (with a big black Audi 07) picking them! He parked by the roundabout. He said there was nothing wrong in doing so and that they would grow again! Calmly walked to his car after other people from their house opposite had talked to him too. He was not British he said and assumed he had the right he said. When I asked if they were for his mother he said "yes" and "no" he would not be telling her !! Yes, funny in some ways but he was arrogant unemotional and unaffected by our conversation and that is what concerns me most. I think I must have heard it all now and feel very sad for his mum. 😪 (Hope he is not your son!)''

KeptTheBeachesShipwreckFree · 04/04/2019 07:44

I didn't post anything on fb but I was annoyed the other day when I saw a child with his parents, who were wearing council uniforms so obviously worked for the council, picking all the daffodils on the council land near the duckpond. It annoyed me because that means that noone else can enjoy the sight and scent of the flowers. I did say something but got a mouthful back. Twats.

kashleesi · 04/04/2019 07:54

We’ve got two run by the same man. There are rules about what you’re allowed to post on which group and I reckon about 10 people get banned every day Hmm someone made a pisstake group and it did loads better than one of his so he shut it down in a temper but since has reopened with the same rules. You’re not allowed to criticise the town even though it’s a craphole Grin loads and loads of car break ins, 15 year olds looking for jobs and people posting old photos ‘can anyone tell me who the girl in the 2nd row is?’

alltoomuchrightnow · 04/04/2019 13:28

Good for you, Kept. It's shit that people think they can do this
