I think question is what did he have for breakfast in the end?

No one said he didn't eat the numbered crumpets

CheeseCakeSunflowers · 23/03/2019 07:40

Now we know what these look like I think Mr Warburton might find himself inundated with photos of crumpets with the missing numbers on, from mumsnetters trying to win a few vouchers.

youarenotkiddingme · 23/03/2019 08:03

Loving this thread.

Was stumped at numbered crumpets but ended up pissing myself laughing at the alternative to crispy duck pancakes.

Crispy pigeon baguette Shock

Well that's odd.

{kneels down and looks at own crumpets on my bed}

Nope, none of mine have that.

GrinGrinGrin I'm lying in bed feeling ill and that comment has brought about a coughing fit. This thread is hilarious.

We should start a competition for best photo of food in unexpected places with body part just in shot. [Shuffles off to find fondant fancies to photograph on dressing gown with big toe].

Your DH has let you, down he's let himself down, and most importantly he's let the terminally pedantic among us down. GrinGrin

I have just had surgery and in quite a lot of pain. This thread is really hurting me.

HarrySnotter · 23/03/2019 09:24

Has anyone else turned the photo upside down to see if the 6 looks like a definite 9? But then the number 11 started to look a bit like an equals sign and that quite upset me.

groundcontroltomontydon · 23/03/2019 09:28

1, 4, 5, 8 and 9

AllGoodDogs · 23/03/2019 09:58

I'll definitely share this thread with DH when he's back next week 😂😂

To answer other questions... He has a fridge, microwave, toaster and gas powered single ring burner in his cab. Because the foods he like are more expensive in Europe he does a shop before he goes and takes it all with him (microwave burgers, crumpets, tinned food, eggs, bacon etc etc) and just tops up on fresh stuff like bread if he needs to while he's away. Most trips are around 2 weeks so he has to take a lot with him. Electrical stuff runs off an invertor in his cab. No table so food is generally prepared on his bed, dashboard or passenger seat. Clothes optional I guess, once he's pulled the curtains he can eat in the buff if he so desires, though he assures me he was wearing shorts when he took the picture.

I have messaged Warburtons and they've asked for the batch number from the wrapper so I've asked him for that once he's stopped driving this afternoon. I'll keep you all updated as the level of interest is much higher than I'd anticipated 😂

It's a great photo - looks like some kind of mystical reading. Your DH may have invented tarot crumpetsSmile

PerkingFaintly · 23/03/2019 10:16

If the bottom right is a 9 not a 6 it does go in numerical order clockwise. #appeasespedants

Generous attempt, but I'm not sure I'm appeased by that.Grin

Pairs summing to 13, now, in ascending order. Yup, that might do it for me.

PerkingFaintly · 23/03/2019 10:20

Your DH has let you, down he's let himself down, and most importantly he's let the terminally pedantic among us down.

Also, I am quite concerned that I may not have put this list in ascending order. I havered for some small time as to whether DH & OP could be ordered...

oldowlgirl · 23/03/2019 10:26

That's crazy Op - lucky he turned them over & actually saw the writing!

AintNobodyHereButUsReindeer · 23/03/2019 10:30

Tarot crumpets GrinGrin

Elledouble · 23/03/2019 10:39

Bloody love this thread! Spooky spy crumpets!

SubisYodrethwhenLarping · 23/03/2019 11:14

Love this thread

SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

I think it was a European who wrote the 7 and 9

RIDGEMONKEY pans are fab for situations like your DH

PristineCondition · 23/03/2019 11:17

Does your dp know the storm he has started?
All this fame because of crumpets

Knittedfairies · 23/03/2019 11:23

My uncle once found a pig's eyelid in a pork pie. At least he thought it was a pig's eyelid; they are apparently very similar to a human eyelid...

AlunWynsKnee · 23/03/2019 11:25

Love it when someone rationally explains something odd.
Hope Warbutons realise they have MN watching them and their response...

Dragonlight · 23/03/2019 11:27

Tarot crumpets!

This beats the photo I saw once of a deep fried rat in a batch of chicken (KFC I think). The crispy fried tail was the low light.

HarrySnotter · 23/03/2019 11:29

What? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?????

GarthFunkel · 23/03/2019 11:34

Someone posted on Rate my Plate to say they found a tooth (not their own) in a Fray Bentos Pie One of my friends at university wrote what was basically a love letter to Fray Bentos about how bloody wonderful they were and got back a delightful thank you letter and massive voucher Grin

notapizzaeater · 23/03/2019 11:37

I once had a deep fried moth in a batch of battered prawns .... I got a nice voucher 😀

jacquesjacques · 23/03/2019 11:45

Have read full thread, can confirm am never eating again.

AintNobodyHereButUsReindeer · 23/03/2019 11:54

Ooh I've just remembered! My dad (who is prone to exaggerating so take this with a very large pinch of salt) says he once got a bag of pork scratchings in the pub, and one of them was a big nipple. He said he left it on the bar when he left.

WeeDangerousSpike · 23/03/2019 12:54

I expect it's a metal detectable blue biro.

The sliced bird and pig eyelid are making me feel a bit Envy (not envy!) despite years of desensitisation. I've seen photos of the sliced mouse too Envy

I wonder what they were testing. Obviously something post bake (you can't write on a wet crumpet!)

Maybe bake loss and the numbers were on the tin pre bake?

I'm interested now OP, please ask Warburtons for specific details Grin
