OMG, a bird in a loaf of bread is giving me the horrors. They freak me out with their beady eyes and flappy wings, I'd ne er be able to eat bread again 🤢🤢

You can Google mice baked in bread, ants in Werther's toffees and all sorts of disgusting stuff. We learned all about it on a food hygiene course once

Batch numbers for quality control, someone randomly selects a crumpet or two from each batch and takes them off for testing- I would love to be a crumpet tester 😁

My mum found a strange metallic lump in a coffee and walnut cake. She took it back to the supermarket, they sent it off for analysis, and it turned out to be a brillo pad

I need to know more about your DHs lorry toaster. Would it work in a car? I travel about for work and often the only food available is McDonald's or nasty garage sandwiches so if I could make toast that would be brilliant.

But I'd definitely report the numbered crumpets to Warburtons, get your DH to send you a pic of the batch code too, they'll almost certainly send you a voucher.
