I've just finished watching Behind The Curve on Netflix - a documentary about the Flat Earth movement. I remain unconvinced but still good fun to watch.

My favourite conspiracy theory though is the Titanic/Olympic one which I'm inclined to believe 🙈 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/RMSTitanicalternative_theories

Any good ones out there?

Mk ultra. The videos of the celebs having glitches are a bit werid but I think it's more likley due to being on drugs.

Floride in the water if there because its a cheap way of getting rid of industrial waste and its actually poisoning people.

Shookethtothecore · 19/03/2019 08:39

The whole illuminate one is a bit crazy

GoFiguire · 19/03/2019 08:42

The David Icke video about the death of Diana is truly ShockConfused😱😱😱😱Hmm

QuirkyQuark · 19/03/2019 09:09

I must've been living under a rock, I've not heard of some of these, I'm going to have to google them all now.

SpamChaudFroid · 19/03/2019 09:17

My favourite is the theory that we are AIs living in a simulation, like the Sims. This reality could have been created as a history project for example, for some kid's GCSEs in the future. Scientist Neil Degrassi thinks that it's more likely we exist in a simulation than actual "reality", when taken into consideration how advanced our technology is at this point in time.

I though Brittany Murphy's death, followed a few months later by her husband's death was peculiar. Was reported that both died of "pneumonia" at their home.

Not a conspiracy, but it did occur to me that the stars of The Undateables could be actors!

Nameusernameuser · 19/03/2019 09:23

@Myusernameismud I know of someone the exact same, wonder if it's the same person Grin

Flamingosnbears · 19/03/2019 09:36

Climate change as a conspiracy theory is currently in the news they also say:
exposure to conspiracy theories can make people less inclined to vote, reduce their carbon footprint and have children vaccinated. They can also make people more likely to engage in everyday criminal behaviour.

longwayoff · 19/03/2019 09:36

Sadly mud and user, there's plenty of nutters about who suck all this up as brain food. Donald Trump believes some of what you mention, or claims to do so. Takes all the fun out of mocking them.

Florescentadolescent · 19/03/2019 09:42

I saw somthing about Brittany Murphy recently.

Her dad claims she was murdered because she was going to expose somthing, csa in Hollywood maybe. Apparently she was also mohammed alfiads sugar baby.

MissionItsPossible · 19/03/2019 09:52

Reading comments about Brittany Murphy reminds me of another suspicious death: Anna Nicole Smith and her son some months earlier. I think it was something to do with the boyfriend for inheritance.

SpamChaudFroid · 19/03/2019 09:54

Oh the Fluoride! Nazis used it in the water as a poison "pacifier" in the death camps, and before that Jewish ghettos.

Myusernameismud · 19/03/2019 09:56

@nameusernameuser are his initials SL?!

MissionItsPossible · 19/03/2019 09:58

@ShatnersWig I wouldn't class Elisa Lam as a conspiracy theory though. Either a) she was murdered or b) underwent a psychotic episode.

Even if she did have a psychotic episode, it doesn't explain how she managed to access the roof of the hotel which only staff have the keys to, climb up the water tank (they can only be accessed by ladder as they are 3 meters high and there was no ladder found) and put the heavy lid fully back on it whilst in the tank herself (impossible). I think she was murdered but I still don't understand what happened in the video. That hotel is very creepy anyway and loads of murders and suicides took place at it. I wouldn't be surprised if she was possessed.

ShatnersWig · 19/03/2019 10:01

@Mission Then she was murdered. But that doesn't require a conspiracy. Possession (!) wouldn't involve a conspiracy either, would it? A demon wouldn't need the assistance of several other pesky demons to cover his tracks.

MissionItsPossible · 19/03/2019 10:06

If the video footage didn't exist I'd say it was simply murder but there's just something about the video. Unsettling.

SugarPlumdinosaur · 19/03/2019 10:08

That Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson of One Direction are secretly married and Louis' son is fake. Honestly, its mental how far some of their fans have gone with this one.

Nameusernameuser · 19/03/2019 10:15

@Myusernameismud oh damn, no SG, there must be two of them then!Grin luckily I never have to see him though.

NakedAvenger · 19/03/2019 10:16

Denver Airport being a secret base for the New World Order. It's batshit but nevertheless the place is damn odd!
Terrifying red eyed horse sculptures
Illuminati codes
Worrying murals (these are the weirdest, what were they thinking? Happy holidays here's some muriels of the apocalypse!)
Stories of workers having to build gargantuan tunnels and holding pens but not knowing why and not being allowed to complete more than a small section
Move city airport to 30 miles outside the city in the desert.
Runways in the shape of a swastika

I don't believe a word (Occams Razor... it's just a bit avant garde) but I am FASCINATED!

SandAndSea · 19/03/2019 10:16

Unlawful Killing by Keith Allen is very interesting.

MynameisJune · 19/03/2019 10:24

Loving these.

Except the Sandy Hook and other school shooting ones. When Sandy Hook happened I worked with a colleague who was best friends with the British/American family whose son was killed. The trolls on social media called the mother an actor, that her son had never existed and basically made her life even worse after an already tragic event. That little boy existed and lived, until he was shot by a maniac with a gun and how anyone can bloody think otherwise makes me feel sick.

AuntieOxident · 19/03/2019 10:24

Spam I know someone who appeared on the undateables (very unfairly to her IMO, she actually has no problems with dating)
She does have SEN, speech problems and possibly others, but has also been involved in acting! Just am-dram, though.

abcriskringle · 19/03/2019 10:28

I have never heard that Harry Potter theory before but it is now officially my favourite!

ShatnersWig · 19/03/2019 10:36

@SandAndSea It's total bollocks is what it is! Entertaining it may be but certainly not a "documentary".

Clawdy · 19/03/2019 10:53

A friend of mine who works at the BBC told me that she'd heard that Julian Clary is actually straight, and happily married to a woman, but it would wreck his career if his showbiz persona was ruined!

Reaa · 19/03/2019 10:57

Myusernameismud
So glad to see he is an Ex
