Second hand books ... I can't have enough books!

A lovely mug makes me happy too.

I'd love to have flowers and plants, but my cats chew them to bits.

GemmeFatale · 10/03/2019 17:20

@needsleepzzz can you tell me more about this lash lift off which you speak?

fluffiphlox · 10/03/2019 17:27

Decent perfume.

Really good coffee beans. Then I grind them with cardamom pods. Heaven.

MsSquiz · 10/03/2019 19:52

A huge Starbucks latte after my weekly counselling session on a Monday morning

Fresh flowers every week (mainly from a supermarket, sometimes from our garden)

My peach black tea bags from Fortnum & Mason - hot in winter, iced in the summer

beckslovestimmy · 10/03/2019 19:57

Very simple. But a shower after hitting the gym. My gyms showers are hot and I don't get interrupted by the kids, I can still hear the music from the gym and it 10 mins of me time before heading home to the kids and the mad house! It's one of the reasons I go to the gym as much as I do! Smile

My luxury is to find new expensive skincare products, makeup, shoes, bags, fragrances and then find a very good deal. Then I inform dh that I would like to have this one for birthday/Xmas/valentines/Mother's Day present. Works very well. I get something luxury I wouldn't buy myself and dh is happy to not to need to think any present.

Love this thread Smile

Mine are:

This Works pillow spray - lovely lavender scent helps me sleep

Posh scented candles - always ask for them for birthday/Christmas and they last all year

Chunky Le Creuset mugs for drinking tea - very, very satisfying

£3 tulips from Tesco’s every week - so cheerful

Posh muesli

Fresh flowers
Fresh fruit like Mango, Pineapple, Passionfruit & Strawberries
Good rib-eye steak, with trimmings

New pyjamas

user1457017537 · 11/03/2019 10:37

A daily bath or shower.
Good coffee and tea.
A well stocked home and fridge. I grew up poor.
On holiday I stay in luxury. I want better than I have at home which admittedly is good.
Kids well looked after and having everything they need.
For myself I’m remarkably low maintenance or so I’ve been told

user1457017537 · 11/03/2019 10:39

Cars

PrincessDaff · 11/03/2019 11:47

Love this thread!! Gave me some great ideas.

Mine are lash extensions (I love lying there with my eyes closed for an hour)
Bacon/sausage sandwich of a weekend on white bread (have brown in the week)
Big mugs for tea
Long walks with my dp and ds
A nice long bath listening to music or a podcast

TeaforTwoBiscuitOrThree · 11/03/2019 11:53

This is such a nice thread. I forgot to add to my last post: a big slab of Brie, but only eat the crusts as they are the nicest!

needsleepzzz · 11/03/2019 14:30

Hi @GemmeFatale
The lash lift is effective a lash perm, a curved silicone strip is lightly stuck to you eye lid, your lashes are then glued to it using lash glue, once dried they apply a solution to set them in that curved position, the lady who does mine then applies a black tint, so it always looks like i am wearing mascara, it's amazing how much more awake i look!
Once everything has set she gets a damp cotton bud to wipe off excess dye and the glue, takes in total 45 mins from sitting down to being finished, suggested going every 8 weeks ish depending how fast your lashes grow.
Have to say it is a weird sensation having the guide on your eye lid, not being able to open your eyes, but worth it for the result, i have long lashes but normally they go pretty much straight out

GemmeFatale · 11/03/2019 14:59

Oh this sounds great. Although my lashes aren’t particularly long. How much does this cost?

wonders about trying it near due date

needsleepzzz · 11/03/2019 16:28

Mine are £25 but might vary on location, i'm n.yorks.
LVL is very popular nouveaulashes.com/blog/lvl-lash-lift-work/
