Mumsnetters' top picks from ASOS SUPPY - ASOS' new homeware range

Hi all,

Mumsnetters love ASOS for their affordable basics, brilliant occasionwear, and unlimited next day delivery for less than a tenner. But did you know they also do homeware?

This month they've launched a shiny new home and furniture collection called ASOS SUPPLY, and we want to know what you think of it.

So, whether you like the sound of a woven laundry basket that you’ll never see the bottom of, or you think your DC would love a wall hook shaped like an elephant, let us know which SUPPLY items you could see in your home to be in with a chance of winning one of three £150 vouchers to fund your ASOS habit. We'll be picking a winner on Monday 25 February - good luck!

ASOS haven’t paid for this thread but they are providing the prizes and are interested to hear what you think.

We might add a link into your post if we think it would be helpful.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

But why no king size duvet covers?

Stephgr8 · 20/02/2019 04:25

I wish there was more! I really like the pom pom bath mats and pom pom cushion. It's a bit of a mish mash though with no proper furniture or matching items eg where are the towels that go with the bath mat?

Stuckandsad · 20/02/2019 06:31

I really like the plant rattan hangers 😍 very funky. I'd like to see some slightly more feminin choices. Like the abstract patterns in pastel would be very cool

SeonaidMarie · 20/02/2019 06:32

I don’t like to say it but I’m a little bit disappointed! While there’s a lot of trendy pieces there isn’t actually anything that I would buy for our home in the collection yet! It’s just a little bit too bold & quirky at the moment!

Lindseymorris29 · 20/02/2019 06:33

ASOS is amazing! I would say I purchase the majority of my clothes from them, which is basically down to three things: The wide range of designers they stock for all budgets. How easy ordering,collection/delivery and returns are. And the price for the delivery and returns service which I have never paid a penny for!
Having looked at the furniture collection I love the pom pom items: The bath mat, cushion and throw. They definitely would not look out of place in my home. I am excited where they will go with this. It us very affordable, I would love them to do a Disney range like Primark. And possibly stock a few bespoke items from start up designers.

I really like this Pom Pom Throw, it all looks good and pretty well priced.

AlphaNumericalSequence · 20/02/2019 06:58

I wonder what the thinking is behind putting this thread in "chat". It's all legit and above-board, of course, since it is made clear in the OP that it is advertising, but it is just interesting to think about whether MN/ASOS feel the promotion will have better impact in a topic that isn't marked as commercial.

Ashhead24 · 20/02/2019 06:58

It was all quite "loud" items, I wouldnt be brave enough to put most of it in my home. I did like the triangle bedspread though, one of the few understated items:

Brilliant. Love ASOS for their quirky style and sensible prices.

Jeffingandeffing · 20/02/2019 07:30

My daughter loves shopping at Asos and I think this pompom throw is right up her street.

Hot4Holes · 20/02/2019 07:35

I’ll be honest I had no idea they did furniture/homewear but it’s a really good idea and I really like a lot of the stuff on there.
I particularly like the eye see you design. Also love the pastel runner, tempted to get it for my kitchen tbh!

Strawberry2017 · 20/02/2019 07:40

Sadly I don't like any of it, it's nothing special. I don't get the eye thing on everything.
I could buy similar in a number of shops where I could feel the quality.
Also wouldn't class it as furniture.
Think ASOS could do so much better

reservoircats · 20/02/2019 07:48

I love all of the bamboo items - the woven basket is really nice and I like the hanging planter! The rest I think is definitely suited to university students - but the pops of colour are quite tempting!

JustBeenNosey · 20/02/2019 08:03

I LOVE the elephant hook, the animal and leaf bedding, the eye mirror and the triangle abstract printed rug 😍😍

ipswichwitch · 20/02/2019 08:09

I do like the zig zag storage baskets mentioned before and will probably get them for my bathroom. Although not all of it is to my taste, I’ll be watching to see what else they introduce to the range - I’m a sucker for home wares! I did find a bamboo travel cup that’s biodegradable which I will be getting.

maureen17 · 20/02/2019 08:36

lovely throws

Taskette · 20/02/2019 08:38

The animal print towels 🐆 and all of the rugs! I'd find it hard to just choose one 🤔

LuckyVal · 20/02/2019 08:46

I could choose a whole bunch of stuff!
My top 3 are the woven stripe tea towels...I love my grey and white kitchen, but it’s in desperate need for little pops of colour and my current tea towels have seen better days!

Secondly, the chip and dip bamboo bowls. I make a fab guacamole and I make chips by baking cut up soft tortilla wraps, (try it they’re amazing), so could do with some nice bowls to showcase them!

Lastly, I have just revived two almost dead orchids. I’ve always been terrible at keeping plants alive but now feel more confident. Would love to get a plant that can hang down from a shelf and the rattan round plant hanger would be perfect.

:)

ApplesinmyPocket · 20/02/2019 08:47

I liked the ombre basket, the pink pompom bathmat, the eye bamboo mirror (fabulous for a conservatory!) and the elephant hook!

I'd like them to expand the range into more storage solutions - quirky chests of drawers etc.

Snog · 20/02/2019 08:48

The hexagon chopping board is very cute and I also like the elephant print chilly bottle

torthecatlady · 20/02/2019 08:50

The lustre storage set is lovely

GemmeFatale · 20/02/2019 08:58

I like the angular vase.

Unutterable · 20/02/2019 09:07

It all looks a bit cheap and flimsy to me. But great striking designs, I’d have loved this when I was a student or when I moved in with my first boyfriend.

Shoom72 · 20/02/2019 09:24

I did not know they done furniture, wow more things to look at and really good affordable pieces with a good choice available!!!
