Hi all,

Mumsnetters love ASOS for their affordable basics, brilliant occasionwear, and unlimited next day delivery for less than a tenner. But did you know they also do homeware?

This month they've launched a shiny new home and furniture collection called ASOS SUPPLY, and we want to know what you think of it.

So, whether you like the sound of a woven laundry basket that you’ll never see the bottom of, or you think your DC would love a wall hook shaped like an elephant, let us know which SUPPLY items you could see in your home to be in with a chance of winning one of three £150 vouchers to fund your ASOS habit. We'll be picking a winner on Monday 25 February - good luck!

ASOS haven’t paid for this thread but they are providing the prizes and are interested to hear what you think.

We might add a link into your post if we think it would be helpful.

Mumsnet carries some affiliate marketing links, so if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale (more details here).

Absolutely love the elephant hook and eye mirror, the animal bath towel is adorable, my 3 year old son would go mad for it too! Really cute trinkety type stuff and tray/ pot sets, almost all of it would suit my flat. NEED the abstract printed rug for my lounge!

ILoveDaveGrohl · 18/02/2019 22:09

Pom Pom mats!!

HumberElla · 18/02/2019 22:11

The animal and leaf print duvet set is actually just exactly what I’ve been looking for! A certain Leopard mad someone is going to be thrilled with this.
I like the eye bath mat.

chubo · 18/02/2019 22:20

I love the Pom Pom bath mats in both colours and the cheeky brushed strokes tufted rug.
I have a similar rug in my bedroom that badly needs replacing.

beargryllshasabigrope · 18/02/2019 22:21

I love the pastel runner rug, it'd be perfect next to my bed!

AGHHHH · 19/02/2019 00:15

I like the wire bin, bamboo bowls, all the plant hangers and abstract printed rug.

AlanThePig · 19/02/2019 01:20

I love this cushion!

It's so bright and summer feeling. It would look fab on my old armchair.

Owlettele · 19/02/2019 01:51

Loving all of the colours. Everything is different and bright without being crazy. would love the animal print towels, eye see you bedding, pom pom throw , animal and leaf bedding and also the bathroom toothbrush holders. Can see this range being very popular.

I like the idea, but there's nothing that I'd buy. It feels a bit too forced 'quirky' and the price/quality is off for me (I'd want either cheaper or better quality). My favourite is www.asos.com/asos-supply/asos-supply-ombre-bamboo-basket/prd/10729316?clr=multi&SearchQuery=&cid=28698&gridcolumn=1&gridrow=5&gridsize=4&pge=1&pgesize=72&totalstyles=49

emilybrontescorsett · 19/02/2019 08:09

I like the rattan plant holders, reminds me of my childhood when we had lots of other indoor plants. I'd also use the gold kitchen utensils.

DaisyDando · 19/02/2019 08:14

I didn’t know ASOS did this! I think the abstract triangle printed throw is very good value of money. I’ve also got my eye on a rug.

Cheetahssitonfajitas · 19/02/2019 08:15

You can't call it a furniture range - it's homewares or home accessories. Reminds me of Urban Outfitters and Primark range and would appeal mainly to students and those in early 20's. All a bit hotch potch but presume as more items are added they will be able to fit into 3 or 4 ranges of different style trends that consumers can shop by. Eg 'mexicana inspired', 'industrial chic' etc so people can put together a more cohesive look.

Aubasaurus · 19/02/2019 08:18

Most of it seems a bit garish to me but I'm maybe a bit older than the target market! I like the bamboo bowls though.

MyNameIsJane · 19/02/2019 08:19

I agree with cheetahssitonfajitas - the range is sparse at the moment and nothing really caught my eye.

FamilyOfAliens · 19/02/2019 08:24

I’m not sure where this fits into the market.

ASOS is aimed primarily at young people and they already have loads of places where they can buy cheap homeware (Tiger, Wilko, H&M for example, all of which are cheaper). For us oldies, Rockett St George is more quirky and upmarket.

I wonder if it’s aimed at people who want to buy everything from the same place and build up loyalty and rewards?

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 19/02/2019 08:35

FamilyOf the ASOS loyalty programme has just been stopped unfortunately (very unfortunately for me as I used to get tons of vouchers!)

I’m 35 so far from young but love ASOS as do most of my similar ages friends. Obviously some of it is aimed at people less than half our age but some is great, plus the delivery is so good.

Gumbo · 19/02/2019 08:43

I like the towels a lot and the black and white rug.

Don't like the things with eyes or pompoms though...

FamilyOfAliens · 19/02/2019 08:58

I’m 57 so not their target market for clothes (though I used to buy stuff for nieces and nephews until they discovered Forever 21!),

I just think the collection is not really a collection and there are better and cheaper versions of pretty much all of it on the high street.

UnicornRainbowsRain · 19/02/2019 09:16

Not brilliantly impressed so far, no furniture and a few things like the mirrors look fairly "cheap" quality wise. I really like H&M home though so hopefully ASOS builds on the collection and expands their offering.

Cheetahssitonfajitas · 19/02/2019 09:21

I would have thought that a company as large as ASOS and with their buying power and market research capabilities would have held off on launching homewares until they had a larger selection of items than 79 and better curated into style themes. This is more like a small start-ups launching selection. Fcuk home has a similarly small selection however it all works together as a theme so can be a one stop shop for someone doing up a room. This selection, no matter what your taste is you will only find one or two things that will fit with it.

Atalune · 19/02/2019 09:29

It’s very similar to urban outfitters and I imagine student bedrooms to be swathed in this stuff.

Cheap and cheerful, but not my thing and certainly not enthucally produced or sourced. So it’s a no from me.

I’m quite surprised ASOS have come here as I wouldn’t have thought. MN was its demographic. 😕

onitlikeacarbonnet · 19/02/2019 10:00

I just spotted the other day that ASOS we’re doing home ware.
I like the pastel runner rug a lot. I need something for my kitchen floor as the cold tiles are a pain. But needs to be washable. Not sure if it is.
I like the scroll mirror too but I definitely don’t need anymore mirrors or picture frames.
It’s certainly not a very cohesive selection. I agree you’d never be able to completely accessorise a room from such a small collection but I think ASOS has a younger demographic and those customers might only want a couple of unusual, pretty things rather than having full on Ikea Smile
I’m interested to see more.

ReaganSomerset · 19/02/2019 10:05

Not to my taste really.

newmummalion · 19/02/2019 10:19

Love the triangle woven throw and the zig zag storage baskets!
