British IS girl "wants to return to Britain"

Said she has no regrets;
Says she's seen severed heads in bins but it didn't faze her.
Says living with IS lived up to her expectations.
Now she wants to come home to Britain as she's 9 months pregnant.

Sounds an ideal member of any sane society

I'm surprised for the vehement hatred directed towards someone who did indeed make a shitty decision...but did it as a child...and has since lost two of her own children, and regardless of her beliefs is trying to do better for the third
because she went into it with her eyes wide open
because it's impossible to imagine not being fazed at seeing severed heads in a bin
because she only wants to come back as IS is on its last knees
because she will be a massively expensive security risk
because she has shown no remorse whatsoever

Which airline would be prepared to fly her back at 9 months' pregnant? Or is she so "special" that they would waive that rule for her?

TheInnerVoice · 14/02/2019 15:16

I have no sympathy for the loss of her children. And I doubt very much that she feels anything at the loss of her children. Death to these people is just a way of life. They have no value for life what so ever, not even their own. Bearing in mind they are prepared to kill themselves in the name of their cause and they raise their children to do the same.

I feel incredibly sad for the way in which those children died, but actually I think that sometimes death is preferable to growing up as an isis radical.

Mymycherrypie · 14/02/2019 15:17

in a war zone where the hospitals didn’t have the necessary medicines.

She knew all that and went there to have a family. Happily. Is that a fit mother? Absolutely not. She helped create those conditions for other innocent children too.

HazelBite · 14/02/2019 15:18

When I think of the hoops my (USA born) DIL is having to go through so she can come here to live with her husband it makes my blood boil that there's every possibility that this girl, who dosn't deserve her British Citizenship, will be allowed back into this country.

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 14/02/2019 15:22

When asked by the Times journalist if she thought this was the end of the Caliphate, she replied "Yes, I really do. I don't have high hopes."
Surely that means she is still in support of them? If she doesn't have "high hopes" of them surviving?

53rdWay · 14/02/2019 15:23

She knew all that and went there to have a family.

No, she didn’t. She went out to join the Caliphate when IS had a functioning state, with doctors and hospitals and medicines and food. She ended up in a rapidly shrinking patch of land with not enough of anything.

Like I said, it’s bad enough that she supported and actively joined the hellish death cult that is IS. We don’t need to also make up stories about how she ate all the food while watching her baby starve.

@53rdway*

Mymycherrypie · 14/02/2019 15:24

53rd way, what do you suggest killed those children if not the ultimately shit choices of the mother?

Babbas · 14/02/2019 15:25

@hazel. Who else doesn't 'deserve citizenship'? Paedophiles? Murderers? Wife beaters? Where would you personally draw the line?

There are many many white brits who go to fight for other regimes who are not picked up or pestered when they return. Let's drop the them and us language shall we or at least be more honest about the real reasons your vitriol is being released for this girl. The law should deal with this. Vigilantes need not apply!

53rdWay · 14/02/2019 15:27

ok Mymycherrypie, I give up. She spent four years stuffing her face with Jammy Dodgers while cackling “I hope my babies starve to death!”

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 14/02/2019 15:27

at least be more honest about the real reasons your vitriol is being released for this girl.
Ah, so we're being racist towards her, are we?

PyongyangKipperbang · 14/02/2019 15:31

Save your energy @53rdWay, the pitchforks are out.

Terry Pratchett said that the IQ of a mob is the IQ of the lowest scoring member, divided by the number of mobsters. This thread has proved that Hmm

Mymycherrypie · 14/02/2019 15:32

Ive not said that at all. You just have no real response.

allthingsred · 14/02/2019 15:35

She should absolutely never be allowed back here.
Everyone saying she was a child that made a crap decision can do one.
My 9 yr old knows better, she knew exactly what she was doing.
I feel sorry for baby. But I feel sorry for every child born over there.
The most that should happen is the baby be took off her when born & bought over here.
Sorry. But I don't want to be raising my family next door to an Isis supporter, someone who talks about decapitated heads in dustbins like its a normal day. neither should anyone else for that matter.
She wants her baby safe, well I want mine to be safe too

PyongyangKipperbang · 14/02/2019 15:36

FFS Mymy there is stretching the facts to fit and there is just plain invention!

There is no evidence she neglected them, you're talking crap.

Iloveacurry · 14/02/2019 15:40

She has no regrets. That says it all really. She doesn’t deserve to return to the UK. Let her rot.

MissKittyBeaudelais · 14/02/2019 15:41

I think I’d have felt better about her as a silly 15 yr old had she “fallen” for some guy who then turned out to be planning to support ISIS and she’d gone with him in a haze of being loved up. What these three girls did was planned, calculated and if we are to believe what we’re told in terms of their families having no clue what was going on, then were highly intelligent in their ability to travel alone at that age and make those decisions. Whatever their reasons.

I don’t want her, or indeed anyone back in the UK who supports ISIS. It’s absurd.

Aridane · 14/02/2019 15:46

As you expect, the Daily Mail are somewhat unsympathetic to the delightful Ms Begum

Actually they’re not.

If tread the DM article which I linked earlier and quoted fri- you will see it is pretty balanced, quotes government figures who state the government and legal position that she can return (although possibly face prosecution), summarises statistics on previous returnees and prosecutions, and reproduces the interview in full.

It is the posters, however- on the article and on this thread - that are rabidly wanting to deprive the girl of her citizenship (and worse)

Aridane · 14/02/2019 15:47

(apologies for typos)

pusspuss9 · 14/02/2019 15:50

she would be a focus for radical Islamists and the far right

She IS the far right - far far more right than anything you would find in UK.

Sheelala · 14/02/2019 15:53

Terry Pratchett said that the IQ of a mob is the IQ of the lowest scoring member, divided by the number of mobsters. This thread has proved that

Lol, I wondered how long it would take before we'd be told we were thick. And there it is.

As it happens despite being thick I'm intrigued as to your answer to the question about how much slack you allow these poor brainwashed vulnerable folks who made a daft see mistake ?

Where do you draw the line ?

arsefeatures · 14/02/2019 15:54

I'm sure she'd want to come 'home' if she was, [as she probably imagined] living in a palace, spending her days absentmindedly filling her nails, whilst her handsome hubby spent his, outside beheading infidels, wouldn't she..?

Let her rot.

MillytantForceit · 14/02/2019 15:55

HMG isn't going to go in and get her. She will have to make her own way to Ankara or Beirut and present at the UK Embassy.

Her chances of assistance by a charity are not helped by her support for the execution of aid workers who 'might have been spies.'

Reckon she's a bit dim.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 14/02/2019 15:56

bring her back, put her in prison and let her family raise the baby

This is all very well, but are her family suitable people to do that or are they steeped in this ideology themselves?

I don't pretend to know the answer to this, but I'm reminded of Amira Abase's dad, clutching an Arsenal teddy and blaming everyone else for her being allowed to leave the country (a bit like a PP in fact)

He turned out to be implicit in the cause himself, though it hasn't stopped him weighing in on this latest case, insisting Shamima would present no risk ... as if anyone would take his word for it Hmm
