What do you remember watching on a Sunday as a kid?

Daughter and I have had our bath and I just had a flash of memory back to the days of watching Bullseye, songs of praise and Howard's way on a Sunday nights.

I even went on YouTube to put a bit of Bully on.. what is it with 6yr olds that don't appreciate old TV?

My ds ( in their 30's now) remember having a bath and watching ballykissangel whilst I did the ironing.
Happy days!

Arnoldillo- I think No Limits was on midweek but had a repeat on a Sunday? I was obsessed with Jenny Powell!

HoraceCope · 04/02/2019 18:42

Yes to the Phoenix and the carpet.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 04/02/2019 19:18

Yes to Antiques Roadshow, Ski Sunday and By the Sword Divided. Does anyone remember Fortunes of War?

marvellousnightforamooncup · 04/02/2019 19:25

Miss Marple with Joan Hickson.

DonDrapersOldFashioned · 04/02/2019 19:25

Yes to ski Sunday and that other sports thing that had the monotonous voice where all of the sports results were read out in the same mind numbing tone for HOURS (Leeds United one, Tranmere Rovers niiil). I assume it was for people who did the pools. It was really irritating though.

rockingthelook · 04/02/2019 19:33

Kung Fu with David Carradine, think that was on Sundays?
Catweazle, Saturdays?

Woah, this thread is utterly depressing! I hated Sundays as a kid (no internet yet) and reading all these programmes is bringing all those grim feelings back. I see a pp has mentioned Bonanza Grin. I recall some awful programme called Clarence? I'm trying to fathom why I was still up watching That's Life and Spitting Image when I was only junior school age.

vinoandbrie · 04/02/2019 21:19

Lost in Space
The Waltons
Little House on the Prairie

user1486076969 · 04/02/2019 21:44

Oh yes, had forgotten The Waltons "good night John Boy..etc"

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 04/02/2019 21:45

Oh I love these threads... I haven't read everybody else's post yet, I want to see if they match mine.

Sunday was bath night, hair wash night and nail-cutting night - and we used to watch The Muppets and then Shillingbury Tales - and later, 'Crazy Like A Fox' or 'Hart To Hart'.

Was a lovely, snuggly day really - clean and eating Breville-toasted sandwiches...

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 04/02/2019 21:46

Shatners has mentioned, "Ghosts of Motley Hall", I forgot, that one too. I loved that one - and Rentaghost (but that was on in the week).

Arnoldillo · 04/02/2019 22:15

If you think your house needs haunting just call
...Rentaghost

If you something something something then call
.. Rentaghost

You can let the spirits move you

And there my memory gives up altogether.

Franksidebottom she was really cool. I loved her breezy attitude.

RomanyRoots · 04/02/2019 22:32

Anyone remember the lightning seed , I think that was it.

Maelstrop · 04/02/2019 22:35

Bella and Sebastian.
Champion the Wonderhorse.
The Lone Ranger.

Showing my age, but I think the first was in black and white and ancient when I watched it.
