I love a musical.

Seen most but saw Book of Mormon last night, good lord it's amazing!
So funny, so inappropriate, so non pc.

What's your favourite?

West side story is my favourite, I just love it and the songs are beautiful.

HAMILTON

BartonHollow · 31/01/2019 16:35

My faves are :

Wicked
The Lion King
Hamilton

I recently enjoyed Everybody's Talking About Jamie

And Sunny Afternoon is brilliant and doesn't get enough love

Felt disappointed in Matilda

The Commitments was dire and I left at the interval

14allall41 · 31/01/2019 16:37

West Side Story and Fiddler on the Roof are my favourites.

I've listened to the soundtrack of Book of Mormon loads of times, but not seen it yet.

TeenTimesTwo · 31/01/2019 16:38

Legally Blonde was ace
Lion King spectacular
Les Mis emotional

puppymouse · 31/01/2019 16:39

Book of Mormon was one of the best shows I've ever seen!

LindaLa · 31/01/2019 16:39

@BartonHollow

I agree about commitments, overhyped.

Sadly Matilda too.

I shall look up everybody's talking about Jamie and sunny afternoon.
Thank you.

Yy to West Side Story and the Producers. I’d like to throw in Parade - amazing songs and absolutely heartbreaking.

Coffeeandcrochet · 31/01/2019 17:03

I have a HUGE soft spot for Guys and Dolls as well Smile

violeticecream · 31/01/2019 17:18

I have recently been introduced to the theatre by my teenage daughter. Have seen
Jamie - totally fantastic
Heathers - really good
Wicked - loved it
Matilda - okay
Is Book of Mormon an adult only one?
Next one she wants us to see is waitress

TooDamnSarky · 31/01/2019 17:30

Tough to choose but probably...

Fiddler on the roof
Westside story
Carousel
Chess
Matilda
Tell me on a Sunday

TooDamnSarky · 31/01/2019 17:31

And
'A little light music' gets an mention just for 'send in the clowns'

JamieFraserskneewarmer · 31/01/2019 17:43

Company - superb if you like Sondheim
Hadestown was also excellent but sadly finished its run now
Book of Mormon - seen it three times and, yes, adults only!
Looking forwards to Waitress

JarndyceVersusJarndyce · 31/01/2019 17:45

Les Mis
Lion King
Blood Brothers
Heathers

ElliePhillips · 31/01/2019 17:48

I saw Leave to Remain last week at the Hammersmith Lyric. It is brand new and incredible.

ElliePhillips · 31/01/2019 17:49

Forgot to say: It is NOT about Brexit

Ocies · 31/01/2019 17:49

Yes, yes to Company, totally fab Sondheim.
