I feel really sorry for Theresa, she strikes me as a thoroughly decent, kind and normal woman who has been dealt a bad hand.

SinceYouAskMe · 25/01/2019 20:37

If it has to be a Tory then John Major

Devonishome1 · 25/01/2019 20:37

Miranda Hart

Aomame83 · 25/01/2019 20:38

I also agree if it had to be a Tory then Amber Rudd, she seems like one of very few decent tories. I really enjoyed the confident dressing down she gave Boris during a debate for the referendum campaign.
None of those elitist, racist, disaster capitalist, bloody ERG lunatics, who just want to line their already well filled pockets.

Kier Starmer/David Lammy for a Labour government. Both are Intelligent and decent people, who just appear to be on the side of what's the right thing to do. They really do seem to be for the many, not the few.

I also think Caroline Lucas would be outstanding, she's whip smart, sensible and fair. However the Greens couldn't make up the numbers obviously.

Abra1de · 25/01/2019 20:39

Mhairi Black

🤣

huggybear · 25/01/2019 20:40

Can I say Johnny Mercer because he's a dish?

Sexnotgender · 25/01/2019 20:40

Alex Salmond would be better than pretty much anyone mentioned on here thus far!

Bowchicawowow · 25/01/2019 20:40

Gordon Brown.

LynetteScavo · 25/01/2019 20:40

I thought it was just me who thinks Yvette Cooper would be good.

If it came between JRM and Danny Dyer, I think I'd have to go with Danny Dyer. Grin

emzw12 · 25/01/2019 20:41

Martin Lewis or Jeremy Vine lol!

PestymcPestFace · 25/01/2019 20:41

Sex have you read today's news?

WitchesWeb · 25/01/2019 20:41

Alex Salmond would be better than pretty much anyone mentioned on here thus far!

Complete bad taste.

WitchesWeb · 25/01/2019 20:43

Sexhave you read today's news?

Not even todays news. It was released yesterday afternoon.

NicolaStart · 25/01/2019 20:45

Chuka Ummuna
David Milliband

Clear sensible pragmatic people.

SusanWalker · 25/01/2019 20:47

Yvette Cooper.

If it had to be a Tory then either Justine Greening or Heidi Allen.

theduchessstill · 25/01/2019 20:47

Yvette Cooper. I think things would be very different now had she won the leadership election. I also really like David Lammy, Chuka Umunna, Anna Soubry, Sarah Wollaston and Dominic Grieve.

I don't get the obsession with Mhairi Black. I have nothing against her but she doesn't have an ounce of the experience of the above, who are experienced parliamentarians who are currently acting courageously and working very hard to do what is right for their country, regardless of their party lines, and in some cases against their constituencies' views.

Kezzie200 · 25/01/2019 20:48

Yvette Cooper

Or

Ken Clarke

1happyhippie · 25/01/2019 20:50

Gareth Southgate!
He seemed to bring the country together in the summer, everyone would get behind him 😂

oldmum22 · 25/01/2019 20:51

Rory Stewart- Tory -currently Prison Minister

No No No to JRM

No mention of Diane Abbot

Burpsandfustles · 25/01/2019 20:54

Op a few years ago I thought chukka was the answer... How embarrassed am I now.
People vilify Rhys mogg but I find chukka 100 times worse.
I don't know who I want.

But as we are brexiting... Someone who was positive and thought it was a good thing would be nice

Burpsandfustles · 25/01/2019 20:55

Happy I like the sound of gartheth Southgate.

I can see us all donning waste coats... In defiance to the eu burocrats and doing brexit Grin

NicolaStart · 25/01/2019 20:56

Yes, Yvette Cooper and David Lanny would be in my list.

What did Chuka do that is worse than JRM?

Ta1kinPeace · 25/01/2019 20:59

I feel really sorry for Theresa, she strikes me as a thoroughly decent, kind and normal woman who has been dealt a bad hand.
Hmm
The woman who as home Secretary brought in the
hostile environment
who tried to abolish ILR
who took citizenship fees from under £300 to over £2000 I know, I paid
who made English speaking foreigners pay £75 to prove it
who ramped the cost of non EU visas so high that nobody applied
who then moaned about EU workers filling the gaps

Theresa May is a racist xenophobic female misogynist
THat was clear at the Home Office

then she was let into Number 10 Sad

Wheeesht · 25/01/2019 21:01

Can I say Johnny Mercer because he's a dish?

Too hot-headed

Wheeesht · 25/01/2019 21:02

But dishy (for a Tory) I grant you.
