In my DS’s toy kitchen microwave...

veggiepigsinpastryblankets · 17/01/2019 10:47

Coat pocket. Probably a coat you're sure you haven't worn for a week.

Moggymorn · 17/01/2019 10:51

Unfortunately no, and no Sad I've missed work because I can't get there! I can't find them anywhere! I've been looking for three hours Blush

Things always get hidden in wellies in this house. DN once hid mine in his red and yellow car thing - it had a hole where the petrol cap should be. Took 6 months to find those!

YoureMyWifeNowDave · 17/01/2019 10:54

My DS has a thing for car keys, the last time mine went missing I found them under the padded mat in the bottom of the playpen! I had to reschedule a medical appointment that day Blush

SillySallySingsSongs · 17/01/2019 10:55

On the bin?

PengThePenguin · 17/01/2019 10:55

Fridge or washing machine?

PengThePenguin · 17/01/2019 10:56

And you didn't go out this morning to warm the car up?

TinselAngel · 17/01/2019 10:56

Is it possible to leave them in the car?

whoami24601 · 17/01/2019 10:56

DS hid mine on the day of his 2 year review! We had to use the spare key, and climb out/ back in the window so we could leave the house Blush

Sugarhunnyicedtea · 17/01/2019 10:57

Down the side of the sofa. In the fridge. Laundry basket. In the front door. Washing machine. Kids school bag. In a carrier bag.
All places mine have ended up

Hairandnow · 17/01/2019 10:57

Pocket of something other than your coat? Have you dropped them near the car?

ILiveInSalemsLot · 17/01/2019 10:57

Bag including any shopping bags
Trousers pockets
Laundry bin
Fallen on the floor and kicked under the sofa or bed

Kittybelle123 · 17/01/2019 10:59

In the car? My DH managed to lock my keys in the car and me and DC in the house and then head off to work an hour away where he is only contactable during his breaks. That was a fun dayConfused still not convinced school or work believed me!

RB68 · 17/01/2019 11:02

OK when did you last use the car, what were you wearing - chekc that
what did you do when you came in - e.g. shopping unloading - check the area involved, or did you go to the loo and put on the side etc, what bags did you have with you - check those, check all usual culprit areas

Then start on the random areas like the toy area, pans for the toy kitchen, inside shape sorter balls, ball pit, little houses, toy cars, check round the TV - thank your lucky stars we have moved beyond video (The slot was always a good bet with my youngest brother!!)

If it was a few days ago check areas where you have been or little ones have been playing etc. Oh and don't forget to check the outside door& Car

Moggymorn · 17/01/2019 11:03

My only child is still in my belly so I don't think I can blame them just yet! Unless I can blame it on baby brain...

What have I done with them!! Gah!!

OP posts:
Sugarhunnyicedtea · 17/01/2019 11:03

In a shoe?

WorryingLadyBits · 17/01/2019 11:03

Recently I have found my keys...

In a shoe
Behind a picture frame
Between sofa cushions
On my bed
Next to the toilet.

There is a specific place that they go but unfortunately neither my hubby or children know this place, apparently it's a secret- despite it being the same place for years, by the front door.

NorthEndGal · 17/01/2019 11:08

In the bottom of your bag
On the bookshelf
On the bootrack
In the vestibule, on the side table
On the counter
In the fruit bowl

NeverHadANickname · 17/01/2019 11:37

Last time mine were still in the car.

TommyandGina · 17/01/2019 11:37

Still in the front door?

PosiePerkinandPootle · 17/01/2019 11:40

Have you definitely checked they're not still in the car? Do you have other keys on the same ring, could they be hanging in a door? Make yourself a cuppa, sit down and think about what you did last time you came in from driving? Eg did you have shopping to put away - could they still be in a bag or in the cupboard or even the freezer? Were you bursting for a wee, did you run to the loo without stopping to put anything down and leave them on the sink? were you starving and went straight for the biscuits and dropped them in the tin?

Changingagain · 17/01/2019 11:42

Under the car or on the way from the car to the house?
Is there anything they could have fallen behind / under, around where you normally but them?

MaitlandGirl · 17/01/2019 11:43

Mine are always on the first flat surface I stopped next to when I come into the house. So depending on where I went first they could be on the bed, kitchen work bench, dining room table, in the fridge etc.

I hope you find them soon.

AdaColeman · 17/01/2019 11:46

Can you remember when you last had them, what did you do next? Answered the land line? Put the shopping away? Sat on the sofa?

Any throws that could be tangled with? Jumbled together with the washing? In an empty shopping bag?
