Is the Duchess of Sussex expecting twins?

I've just seen pics of her at an engagement today and that is a seriously massive bump! But not due until end April/early May (she told people this herself today) which makes her not even 6 months but she literally looks like I did at about 8 months so I'm wondering if the 'twins' story published overseas might actually be accurate?

She is big but a lot of women are at six months.

Graphista · 15/01/2019 01:27

I was way bigger at 6 months and singleton pregnancy.

I looked at exact same pics before op linked and was going to direct op to them saying 'she's really not that big what pics were you looking at' cos clothes, camera angles etc can make a bump look bigger/smaller.

"Only because most of the pregnant women I have known personally (including me!) rest their hands on top of the bump at that size, they don't hold it underneath like that. It makes me think she's holding it cos it's a fake bump and she thinks it may move." Actually what I'm thinking is whether she's starting to suffer from spd. I did and lifting/holding the bump from under can relieve slightly.

I've had

me - getting people genuinely asking if I was having twins (I showed quite early and was huge. Was a size 6-8 and 5' 2" with only bump as extra weight, no boobs till 7.5 months, no bum. Twins in family also was why some asked. Prior to 12 week check I mentioned half joking to mum - her reply 'oh there's triplets too' 😱)

Friend - had older children, ttc but didn't realise she actually had! Saw her in corner shop on the Saturday, slim size 10/12 figure, 5' 5" ish... Saw her at the nursery run on the Monday - with another baby! She'd gone into labour on the Saturday night, initially thinking appendicitis or something, ambulance called meanwhile husband ended up delivering baby on bathroom floor!

So - you never can tell!

SophiaLovesSummer · 15/01/2019 03:00

She's probably actually due earlier and is planning a bit of quiet time with the baby before the madness starts.

Actually, that would be a bloody smart thing to do!

Her bump looks about the right size to me, she has a small torso so there's nowhere else for it to go but out!
What is troubling me is, why the stiletto heels?! That can't be comfortable. And it does annoy me the way she always cradles it.

LivLemler · 15/01/2019 03:39

The first person to ask if I was sure there was only one in there was my GP, with her hands on my bump. She meant it.

I'm short and had a big baby. I was bloody enormous.

If she's having a big baby and is due a few weeks before they're implying I think she's positively tiny!

user1457017537 · 15/01/2019 04:23

Another one who thinks moonbump! Also agree that they don’t put weight on anywhere else and are back to normal the next day.

RebootYourEngine · 15/01/2019 04:27

Every pregnancy is different.

I lost weight due to sickness until about 7 months. My bf looks like she is due from the moment she gets pregnant.

If I was Meghan and Harry I would tell people a later due date.

Snipples · 15/01/2019 04:40

Why are people so arsy about the heels. I wore heels right up to 37 weeks. And I think it's just a normal bump. She looks fab!

LiquoricePickle · 15/01/2019 04:51

I'm due at the same time and I look just like that!

HoraceCope · 15/01/2019 05:25

she is forever cradling her bump isnt she?

TokyoSushi · 15/01/2019 05:35

I was like this with DS, literally massive! Grin

Lipsticktraces · 15/01/2019 05:45

Every pregnancy is different.

I went shopping for baby clothes when six and a half months gone with my twins. Two different shop assistants asked who I was buying for! I told them for me and neither had even realised I was pregnant.

I’m slim and I carried small. She is slim and may be carrying her Singleton big. It’s impossible to tell.

JaneHare · 15/01/2019 05:56

Amal Clooney had virtually no visual bump just before she gave birth to twins.

user1471426142 · 15/01/2019 06:01

Every bump is different. I look massive (short torso) and have had strangers saying ‘not long to go’ from 6 months but there are concerns my fundal height isn’t what it should be so you can’t read too much into the bump. Short torsos do make a massive difference as does position.

Dongdingdong · 15/01/2019 06:03

Will Meghan have to do the whole, standing on the hospital steps with the baby thing after just giving birth, like Kate did?

burritofan · 15/01/2019 06:04

I'm due at the same time and have the same size bump, definitely just one. I also cradle it a lot because it's comfortable, and hold it underneath because it eases the pain of being kicked in the crotch constantly.

I've had people tell me I'm carrying big AND that I'm carrying small. Bump speculation is weird.

AutumnColours9 · 15/01/2019 06:09

I had twins and didn't show any bigger until the last few weeks.

Ladymargarethall · 15/01/2019 06:09

I bet it is due in March and she is trying to.avoid all the speculation. She probably has an elective section booked already, so they can avoid the media circus.

SPARKS17 · 15/01/2019 06:13

I was surprised her bump is so large given she ireportedly does a lot of yoga.

I did a lot of yoga prior to pregnancy and at 6 months I looked like I had eaten a large meal! Everyone is different but I was surprised she said April is her dd, she looks almost full term to me!

StealthPolarBear · 15/01/2019 06:21

Why would she have been told to suggest her due date is later, what does that achieve?

Dongdingdong · 15/01/2019 06:21

I bet it is due in March and she is trying to.avoid all the speculation. She probably has an elective section booked already, so they can avoid the media circus.

Surely if she has to do the posing outside the hospital, like Kate did, then there’s not much point. It’s not like she can just sneak off home without anyone knowing. Unless she isn’t required to stand on the steps.

StealthPolarBear · 15/01/2019 06:25

By March they're going to want good news on the front of the newspapers. I'm surprised they're not seeing this as it

brizzledrizzle · 15/01/2019 06:29

Actually, that would be a bloody smart thing to do!

I added three weeks on to my due date when I had each of my three, it was lovely not to be hassled about not having had the baby yet Grin

hollieberrie · 15/01/2019 06:35

Yambabe has it. Moonbump all the way.

Kannet · 15/01/2019 06:36

I'm a similar build to Megan and I was massive from six months. People where shocked. Just depends how you carry the baby
