I just looked at Mrs Hinch's toilet roll stamp

What a load of fucking shit.

I'd seen it mentioned on here a couple of times and so I just googled it. Why the fuck would anyone want a drip stain on their toilet roll. As if someone thinks "Oh this is a new roll, great". It's just fucking toilet roll!

Tidying up (Mari Kondo) and cleaning (Mrs Hinch) are both denigrated and underestimated as contributions to human civilisation and wellbeing. But we need to ditch the heavy hand (MK) that destroys our memory when we rid ourselves of mementoes and the highly unecological cleaning (and home decorating) extremes of both of them.

I decided to stamp a roll at work just to see if it worked. It did. I then got a bit giddy and stamped all the others, mainly to see if anyone noticed (no one has mentioned it). Can’t say I’ll ever bother doing it again but was quite satisfying I must admit.

@Ezzie29 - I love that you did it to all of the work loo rolls. Thanks for the laughs 😂

GummyGoddess · 17/01/2019 13:42

Yes, I see the initial appeal of it, but now you have a random circle embossed throughout the roll which looks odd!

Lol ezzie!

I've just had a look at her IG feed.

Her house makes me want to spill red wine and tread Doritos into the carpets.

As a person, she seems lovely, however I don’t get the appeal of watching someone ‘clean’ an already spotless new build house. If I was going to follow a cleaner, it would be someone who gave cleaning tips on how to get rid of actual dirt.

I agree with those who say she uses far too many chemicals too. It won’t be good for kids who need to be exposed to germs to build up a good immune system.

But each to their own. Maybe she’s so popular not because of the cleaning but because of the lifestyle. She posts so many stories that it’s like a little reality show.

Afternoon, all.

We're popping by again to remind everyone to please post politely on these threads. It's fine, obviously, to not like someone's Instagram posts (or even their interior design, when it's in the public eye) but it's not on for this to stray into personal comments, particularly not comments questioning the validity of mental health issues.

We'd really like to get the thread back on track. It would be a shame if we had to take it down.

IamFrauBlucher · 25/01/2019 14:37

@GummyGoddess - yes, I found this with my experiment. If you wanted to reseal the same toilet roll you'd have to align with the old seal imprint otherwise you end up with a toilet roll that looks like it's infected with ringworm.

I realize I am slightly overthinking on the experiment.

I like her and think she's very sweet, however I do suspect that she has her Mum make the meals that she shares as having made herself 😁. You never see her preparing the meal, it's always a before and after shot. I'm actually quite jealous, would love my Mum to live close by and help me out a lot.
