What a load of fucking shit.

I'd seen it mentioned on here a couple of times and so I just googled it. Why the fuck would anyone want a drip stain on their toilet roll. As if someone thinks "Oh this is a new roll, great". It's just fucking toilet roll!

Men arent boring enough to have cleaning accounts to be fair.

Beerflavourednipples · 15/01/2019 12:02

Bull. Men have their looks ridiculed, their mental health questioned do they?

Men get a different type of shit on Instagram - look at the abuse sky sports presenter Simon Thomas got on social media (from men, because men aren't expected to 'be kind') after he dared to blog about his feelings and mental health after his wife died.

Bowchicawowow · 15/01/2019 12:06

Men get nowhere near as much abuse as woman do. Just ask any female MP.

GlitterStick · 15/01/2019 12:06

Good point, beer never thought of it like that.
Men should be allowed to show their feelings without being attacked by other men.
Just like women should be able to be pretty and successful without being pulled down by other women.
and no I don't mean the plastic or chemical use I mean the personal attacks
Calling others thick for liking cleaning, or brainwashed, or being pulled backwards - it's toxic, all of it.
Leave others be. To like what they like.

Hi all,
We're receiving quite a few reports suggesting that this thread should be removed, but could we please ask that posters report specific posts that breach our guidelines so that we can get them taken down asap if that is required?

We do allow posters to express their opinions on public figures, as long as those aren't in the form of personal attacks. Play the ball rather than the (wo)man. We'd like to ask that everyone bear that in mind as the thread develops.

53rdWay · 15/01/2019 12:07

I think the Marie Kondo cult is weird as well. Can I say that without it being heard as a vicious personal attack on Marie Kondo herself?

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 15/01/2019 12:08

DH would think I'd lost the plot and urge me to get a hobby if I went around stamping all the loo rolls.

Whisky2014 · 15/01/2019 12:08

Who was called thick?

OP posts:
GlitterStick · 15/01/2019 12:09

Well seeing as you're saying the Mari Kondo cult as in the method is weird and not personally attacking her herself, I'd have thought that was alright.
It's not quite the same.

Beerflavourednipples · 15/01/2019 12:09

Men get nowhere near as much abuse as woman do. Just ask any female MP.

I do agree with this.

I just hate the way women are always expected to live by the 'if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all' mantra and not voice their opinion if it's in any way negative.

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 15/01/2019 12:12

I think Marie Kondo and Mrs Hinch are people who have become brands - both of which have a storming, obsessive fan base who claim to find techniques provide to them, life altering.
Neither of those brands are immune from critique.

Bowchicawowow · 15/01/2019 12:22

Do people discuss how Maria Kondo looks, the state of her mental health and the colour of her walls?

Beerflavourednipples · 15/01/2019 12:24

the colour of her walls?

What, we cant even voice an opinion on the colour of someone's wall now?

So pointing out that middle class people are ok with Marie Kondo but not with Mrs Hinch breaches talk guidelines now? Interesting how sensitive the middle class are when it is an opinion on their hypocrisy not an opinion about grey décor. This thread is great. Hope it stands and everyone laughs at how irate 4 toilets Whisky is over someone else's consumerism and environmental credentials. It's pretty funny really.

53rdWay · 15/01/2019 12:37

What on earth are you talking about, Salmakia?

cocoajumbo · 15/01/2019 12:38

I have also been trying to understand that post. Hmm

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 15/01/2019 12:39

So pointing out that middle class people are ok with Marie Kondo but not with Mrs Hinch

Why on earth does everything have to be about middle/working class

Its really silly

GummyGoddess · 15/01/2019 12:40

To be pedantic, Marie Kondo and Mrs Hinch do two different things so are not really comparable.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 15/01/2019 12:41

gummy

Yeah

Kondo tidy

Hinch clean

Flylady clean

Littlechocola · 15/01/2019 12:42

I love Marie Kondo as well. Maybe if I spent more time tidying my home rather than falling in love with people I might have a nicer home.

I missed the bit about middle class.

Whisky2014 · 15/01/2019 12:42

Why am I being mocked for having 4 toilets?!

The people posting about how nasty we all are for attacking Mrs Hinch are the nastiest of all. Hypocrites
