I just looked at Mrs Hinch's toilet roll stamp

What a load of fucking shit.

I'd seen it mentioned on here a couple of times and so I just googled it. Why the fuck would anyone want a drip stain on their toilet roll. As if someone thinks "Oh this is a new roll, great". It's just fucking toilet roll!

whisky

Cos its rampent consumerism

Or something like that ....

Notmorewashing · 15/01/2019 12:51

I really do not like the house at all and feel that the insta stories are very braggy and pushing products rather than offering genuine cleaning advice and tips.

cocoajumbo · 15/01/2019 12:56

@Whisky2014 The 'Hinch army' have had posts deleted (oh the irony).

As for consumerism, I struggle to think of an Instagram account with more #ads or affiliate links. Although it seems as though they're now all being declared, so fair play to her for being open about making a total fucking mint out of her 'army'. Grin

Maria kondo is a lot more helpful with regards to organising and declutering. Where as mrs hinch is all about "look what i got for free" "buy from this vendor and I will be getting products for advertising for free" "buy lots of shitty baskets to put all over your house with crap in" "hmmmm this hunched has a brilliant idea, I think I will steal it and make it my own".

Maria kondo is world's apart from Mrs hinch.

GlitterStick · 15/01/2019 13:06

Mari Kondo isn't really comparable to Mrs Hinch though.
They're totally different - Mrs H more about cleaning, Mari Kondo more about decluttering.
I like both.

I understand everyone has an opinion, but could there be a nicer way of putting things if you don’t like something fair enough but this is someone’s hobbie and something that makes them happy. She is an adult and it’s her decision what products she’s uses and techniques. I’m not trying to start anything with anyone, but reading through this feed it’s just very harsh and mean towards her, she is pregnant and has other conditions she is dealing, she should not have to deal with this much hate towards her lifestyle and home. Just please take it down a notch x

Whisky2014 · 15/01/2019 13:29

Its not really a hobby is it?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 15/01/2019 13:32

I would like to very gently nudge this thread back to its original quest.

What is the point of the loo roll stamp?

In the interest of research I tried to to it,

—was sitting on the loo and forgot my phone so was bored shitless, so to speak—

So I tried the stamp. And the loo roll was all ripped where the stamp should have been, because there was limescale on the tap.

So, the purpose of the stamp is to let everybody know your tap has been cleaned into submission.

As you were.....

Whisky2014 · 15/01/2019 13:34

Is it?! I thought it was the roll to look pretty :D 2 birds with one stone eh

GlitterStick · 15/01/2019 13:34

It's not really a hobby is it

Of course it is, you surely don't think something's only ever a hobby if it's run by you first, do you?
Seriously, how hard is it to understand that some people like different things to others? Enjoy different things with their time? It doesn't make them any "less."

RtIock · 15/01/2019 13:38

but this is someone’s hobbie and something that makes them happy. She is an adult and it’s her decision what products she’s uses and techniques.

It's a business thats promoting a lifestyle, to sell cleaning products essentially. Businesses (all businesses, not just hers, but I would say especially "influencers" as with them the lines of this is an advert are blurred) should not be above critism, especially if some of the things they are promoting (either products or techniques) are not great.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 15/01/2019 13:39

Well, I cannot ascertain either, or indeed, I cannot rule out anything.

One thing I can say though, my taps are an embarrassing for the cleaning community.

Silkie2 · 15/01/2019 13:42

doesn't make them any "less."
Of course it can make them less, they are very much less in my eyes. Over consuming time wasters , why not give time to some charity work.
If you see things differently so be it.

RabbitseatDogs · 15/01/2019 13:42

I think I've won with the stamping - I present to you ............... stamped kitchen roll! My life is complete and now, perfect.

RabbitseatDogs · 15/01/2019 13:47

I obviously have perfect 'stampy' taps 😁

I can assure you, I won't be repeating the crisps.

I just looked at Mrs Hinch's toilet roll stamp
GlitterStick · 15/01/2019 13:47

Silkie2 if you like to feel superior over others and look down on them because you perceive yourself to be somehow "better" - it says an awful lot more about you than it does about anyone else.

Whisky2014 · 15/01/2019 13:47

Omg stamped kitchen roll! You've won!

Of course it is, you surely don't think something's only ever a hobby if it's run by you first, do you

What? Now you're just being goady for the sake of it. Anything I say you want to pick it apart. It's not a hobby when she's made a brand of herself, is making money via her affiliates, is promoting it, made a book a about it and god knows what else up her sleeve. Snoozefest

OP posts:
GlitterStick · 15/01/2019 13:51

You're the one who said upthread that cleaning's not a hobby.
Not me.
I was merely saying that to some, yes it is.
Not me particularly, I could do with making it more of a hobby lol. Do actually feel motivated to do some for the first time ever since discovering the account and to need that's a good thing.

GlitterStick · 15/01/2019 13:51

to me that should read

Whisky2014 · 15/01/2019 13:53

I was replying to Hughes who said i understand everyone has an opinion, but could there be a nicer way of putting things if you don’t like something fair enough but this is someone’s hobbie
And I said its not a hobby (with reasons why above).

My new hobby is stamping things with my tap. I've just made a lovely pattern on my t- shirt - I look very cool 😎.

Thesnobbymiddleclassone · 15/01/2019 13:55

I don't really understand the fascination with her at all.

She uses a lot of chemicals and by her photos, just spends all of her time, energy and money on cleaning!

53rdWay · 15/01/2019 13:55

Cleaning is Mrs Hinch’s hobby in the same way that tennis is Venus Williams’s hobby.

GummyGoddess · 15/01/2019 13:57

What did I say that got my comment deleted? I wasn't horrible Confused
