Feel like Amazon prime isn’t worth it.

Purely because all the free films are usually old and shit, so often find myself paying for films (£3:50) rental! On tope of £79 yearly! But even the films they charge for are often old and sometime shit!

Plus, I often listen to amazon music but to get any decent stuff I’d have to pay an additional £7 monthly Confused

I have cancelled ours. We originally got it for free delivery and for DC to watch The Grand Tour but I don't think it's worth it.

the99 · 11/01/2019 19:01

Literally signed up for this 4 hours ago Confused

I love prime. I do get a bit annoyed with the film choices. However, there's so many options for series, more than netflix. Plus 1 day delivery.

I'm starting to get annoyed with it and may not renew. There seems to be less and less available to buy on Prime with next day delivery. Things taking 2-3 days is starting to become the norm. As it was free next day delivery that I bought it for, I'm not sure it's worth it anymore.

Autumnchill · 11/01/2019 19:03

Just finished months free trial and binged 'The Good Wife', ''Jack Ryan' and once I've finished 'Life in Pieces', I'll be cancelling

PuppyMonkey · 11/01/2019 19:04

I’ve never watched any of the TV series on there. Have probably watched two or three movies that’s it.

My DD gets Amazon Prime student discount so we have her password. No way I’d pay full whack for it, unless they got Game of Thrones or something decent on there.

UpTree · 11/01/2019 19:10

Yeah, I find that the only time it may be worth it is at Chrismas time when I do all my present shopping! But, if I didn’t have it I would likely shop elsewhere and still get better value?

Ideally like it for the tv series

Lucked · 11/01/2019 19:17

Movies are poor but I have watched plenty of good TV shows and I make full use of the free delivery.

Lwmommy · 11/01/2019 19:18

Buffy the vampire s layer, angel and now all 9 series if Baywatch. Its like going back to my childhood/teen years.

Plus The Good Wife, Lucifer, Greys Anatomy, Preacher.....

Loads of good series and i buy lots from amazon so Prime Delivery is worth getting.

IHaveBrilloHair · 11/01/2019 19:19

I got rid of it a year ago, the TV is shit, and the delivery went to crap too.

PinkHeart5914 · 11/01/2019 19:20

I cancelled ours

Was good at first but now I find the movies poor and now because of where we live rarely is it next day delivery like it should be (it was at first)

Netflix however I love

Kikipost · 11/01/2019 19:20

Mines completely paid for by my health insurer as a benefit.
So I’m happy with it!

mclady · 11/01/2019 19:21

Kikipost which provider??

UpTree · 11/01/2019 19:21

I do often find that prime delivery has often never actually arrived next day too.

Yeah, the box sets are good. But not sure whether they’re still worth the £79?

I love prime. I buy so much from Amazon that it's great getting free delivery and it arriving quickly. Well worth it.

UpTree · 11/01/2019 19:22

pink I have netflix too. I have to get rid of one and I’m just so fed up of paying additional with amazon to watch a shitty kids film

I love it. We order stuff via prime probably weekly. Just yesterday 12kg of dog food that arrived 18hours after I ordered it. We watched Vikings, JackReacher, Walking Dead, fear the walking dead, man in the high castle... loads. I don’t use the music though.

Cheeseartichoke · 11/01/2019 19:24

We got it purely for the free delivery (doesn't do next day where we live) but I watch a lot of shows on it, lots of junky stuff and food shows, but wouldn't be without it now!

RaininSummer · 11/01/2019 19:25

Love it. Free kindle book every month, magazines. TV and delivery.

MrsJBaptiste · 11/01/2019 19:27

Am I weird that we only have Amazon Prime for the next day delivery? Occasionally we'll watch a film but not often. I do pay students' rates though so it is cheaper...

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 11/01/2019 19:28

I had a month's free trial, and tried all the music/viewing stuff and didn't think it was worth continuing after the free trial so cancelled.

E20mom · 11/01/2019 19:29

They don't actually guarantee one day delivery any more either.

Tiredismymiddlename85 · 11/01/2019 19:29

@MrsJBaptiste - Nope not weird, I'm the same. I've never watched a film or listened to music on it.

ThanosSavedMe · 11/01/2019 19:30

Love it. There’s some great films and tv shows. Choice to rent or buy. Next day delivery even same day deliver for some stuff I’ve ordered.

You’re never going to get recently released films for free not sure what some of you are expecting.
