Just about to have a bath and want to listen to one of these.

Whats the best one you've listened to?

David Jason and George Michael are both favourites of mine.

Just listened to the David Nott one, what a lovely guy. Loved the story with the Queen.

newtlover · 07/01/2019 17:07

yes, I'm a republican but hearing that story gave me a much more positive attitude to the queen.

I really enjoyed Mickey Flanagan and Russell Brand.

I listened to the David Nott DID after a recommendation on here, while I was driving to work. In tears, he was just so inspiring but gently matter of fact.

I also loved Jacqueline Gold and her drive to succeed, also when she talked about her son and her song choice for him. Cried on the train at that one!

In fact there are a few I’ve listened to where they’re bereaved parents, whether I’ve subconsciously sought them out as like minded or not, but the hosts are always very tactful and compassionate.

Noel gallagher and Russell brand were both great. Whether or not you’re arsed with either of them, they’re very entertaining.

Nigel Owen

Jimmy Carr surprised me too, PoliticalBiscuit

MawkishTwaddle · 07/01/2019 21:47

I hated the Michael Buble one. Cringeworthy - especially when he used his ‘luxury’ choice to promote the watch he’s brand ambassador for.
Kirstie cut him off sharpish BlushGrin

I'm so glad to see David Nott on here - he is a lovely man. I worked closely with him a few years ago. When he did the recording. He told me he was mortified to arrived looking dishevelled to find Kirsty looking Tippetty top and in fine form. It's a great one but you'll need tissues!

JustMabel · 07/01/2019 22:26

Dr Dorothy Rowe talking about depression was very interesting.

James Corden came across well.

Then there are people who I really wasn't a fan of until I listened to their espisodes...
Ed Sheeran

3 in that have surprised and moved me are
Johnny Vegas
Kathy Burke
Tony Adams

all 3 incredibly honest about their lives with great self awareness.
