Woman in vegetative state gives birth

Police in Phoenix are investigating after a woman who has been in a vegetative state for 10 YEARS gave birth.

I have no words... I feel so sorry for that poor woman, her family and the baby who will grow up effectively an orphan. How did no-one notice she was pregnant?! How does this happen in a supposedly civilised country??

Presumably a limited number of people will have had a chance to be alone with this poor woman? So via DNA testing it should hopefully be possible to find the rapist?

The bit that got me was that NO ONE noticed she was pregnant until she was actually giving birth!!

Does that mean she was obese, are many ppl in veget. states quite overweight?

DNA testing they will find the creep. Poor kid. Will be a huge number of folk lined up to adopt a healthy baby, though.

So at least two previous incidents of staff mistreating patients. There’s a serious problem in that place. Christ knows how many other patients have been raped or sexually assaulted. Massive inquiry needed in that facility. DNA testing every single Male that has had access to the police in the time frame of conception.

I simply do not believe no one noticed she was pregnant until she was in labour. When she had a bed bath the baby would have moved. You can't mistake a kicking belly. I hope they dna every man!

Understandably, no mention of what happened to the child. Hopefully it gets adopted.

Assuming it is adopted though, can you imagine the trauma awaiting that child, if, 18-20 years from now, it decides to seek its biological family? What a story it has waiting for it.

The woman may have family who will adopt the baby. She is in a private facility, someone is paying for that.
