I am !

I have bought a shiny new notebook.
I have been searching pintrest for bullet journal ideas.
This includes couch to 5k (for the 3rd time)

I really need to sort my health and fatness (not a typo) out .

So if you need a partner in crime to give you a nudge or a kick then please come and join me.

More importantly if you are one of the few miracles out there that day feeling like this last year and actually succeeded please come and tell me your tales.

All welcome.

Meee! I'm with everyone else hereGrin

Shockers · 29/12/2018 21:48

I ate violet creams for breakfast today.

I go on holiday in less than 3 weeks.

Help!

I did walk 12000 steps, eat cous cous with egg for lunch, then jacket potato with beans (and cheese) for tea.

With two mince pies for pudding.

Help!

I think I’m doing ok, sitting mildly considering my diet while eating a baked potato loaded with butter, salt and pepper with mixed salad leaves, grated carrots, cherry tomatoes, radishes, spring onion, celery and cucumber and two roasted chicken thighs with crispy skins.

I’m focusing more on what I’m eating, when and why. I’m not really a fan of rich foods like stews or pasta sauces, I’ve cut out carbs such as pasta (don’t really like it anyway).

Gonna try adding beans and pulses more often and lots of different root veggies and greens, rice noodles and the like.

I usually eat quite well when I think about what I’m eating but I need to increase my physical fitness. Gonna take up walking around my uni campus because it’s very pretty and start lifting my weights again.

Nan0second · 29/12/2018 21:54

Not me! It was me last year though.
I joined boot camp, fully embraced low carb and high fat and sorted out my sugar addiction.
I now have a BMI of 21, have a hobby that I enjoy and am more productive at work because I’m not tired all the time due to sugar crashes.
Seriously, have a look at boot camp. It changed my life.

SickRose · 29/12/2018 21:54

I'm going to delete all history on MFP now so that when I weigh myself and put in my start weight I don't have to see that judgemental line shoot up and show me how much I've gained since my last attempt.

Bacardi101 · 29/12/2018 21:56

Me please! Was just sitting in my bedroom passed the mirror and contemplated when I turned into a marshmallow! Am stuffing Lindt into my face pondering how I’m going to unmallow myself from the 2nd of Jan!!

WistfulBarnacles · 29/12/2018 21:59

Me too! Have 5 stone to lose but those Christmas puddings, mince pies, chocolates and cake won't eat themselves you know Wink

BeekyChitch · 29/12/2018 22:01

Yep!! Whilst drinking beer and eating crisps and dip. I'll walk past the mirror and say to myself "fuck BeekyChitch you've let yourself go". Put on about a stone in the last month. Ridiculous.

Ladygaladriel · 29/12/2018 22:01

I’m eating a bag of haribo telling myself I’m going sugar free in 2019 😩😩

Maverick66 · 29/12/2018 22:07

comeagainforbigfudge · 29/12/2018 22:09

FVFrog · 29/12/2018 22:11

Ha! Me too, white wine and chocolate orange for me, this is my second one in two days. I ate almost a whole one last night...tomorrow I will get back on track 😂

HeyLala · 29/12/2018 22:12

Hey
I'm in.
My goals are:-

C25k and park run on March 2nd.
Sign up for Belly Dancing classes.
Eat healthy, Vegan mon to Fri.
Dry January

And no shopping for clothes, shoes, makeup or handbags until Feb 1st.

My daughter is already laughing hysterically but I'm ready to give it a go.

mountainlakes · 29/12/2018 22:17

Reading the title made me eat pringles! But yes, every year I think that this is the year and I will lose the weight. I don't.

ChristmasFan2018 · 29/12/2018 22:23

Count me in ✔️

My diet intake today has consisted of wine, bread, cheese & chocolate

Wallabyone · 29/12/2018 22:28

I'm here. I had my third baby in October and gained my usual 4/4.5st. I've now got 2st left to lose. I went to see a physiotherapist with an interest in women's health as I have tummy muscle separation, and I've booked myself in for ten Pilates sessions. I need to become a bit more mindful of what I'm eating, and eat more protein-based meals. I'm still in Christmas mode, so I've had cheese and biscuits today, a mince pie, chocolate and Nando's for dinner; not great!

Shockers · 29/12/2018 22:29

This thread is making me hungry.

diamantegal · 29/12/2018 22:29

I'm in too. Actually rejoined the gym a couple of months ago so partway through C25K for the second time - but have given myself Christmas off so will probably need to drop back a week or two when I restart in January.

So my goals are exercise more, drinks, eat better - should be easy, right?

Although mostly what I've taken from this thread is that I need a lovely new notebook to do this properly. I'm on it! Any recommendations?

Doghorsechicken · 29/12/2018 22:29

Count me in! My DS is now 7 months, I didn’t gain weight during pregnancy but all the sleepless nights have made me gain nearly 2 stone! I refuse to buy more clothes, I want to fit back into my size 10 clothes again. Hoping you lot will give me lots of inspiration 😊

Ivegotthree · 29/12/2018 22:30

This is LITERALLY me. Pringles/gin/wine/peanuts/Cheetos/violet creams.

I disgust myself.

But am planning a run tomorrow so I can still look like Gisela!

2019IsGonnaBeMyYear · 29/12/2018 22:34

Interested to know which notebook you have Howlong? I am a bit of a journal junkie though not very good at finishing one

Flibbertyjibbit · 29/12/2018 22:35

I'm in! I've probably got over 10 stone to get to my pre-illness weight but I'd take any stone loss as a miracle right now. My steroid moon face is hideous!

2019 Bullet Journal at the ready.

Healthy meals that have very limited prep and cooking is what I need to find .... Off to search Pinterest!

RaininSummer · 29/12/2018 22:40

Oh no, this is me. I seem to have developed a binge eating problem this evening. Whole bag of hot chili crisps washed down with two glasses of red wine. My mouth is sore and I am angry with myself. I am a carb monster. Immediately prior to this piggery, I ordered the blood sugar diet book and told my oh that I wasnt going to eat anything else today. Omg.

Jaimx86 · 29/12/2018 22:40

Honestly, eating well makes you feel
a lot better than eating junk. I love going out just to wear new clothes. Buying clothes in 6/8/S makes me feel a lot better than any wine/gin/takeaway did.

Xenadog · 29/12/2018 22:44

I have found my tribe!

I’m gong to treat myself to a new book from Paperrchase with a new pen too. I’m gong to weigh and measure myself and.... gulp..... going to take pics of me in my underwear (note I didn’t say smalls as there’s nothing small about my undies!).

Beginning on January 2nd and I’m going to follow Patrick Holford’s diet and aim to do at least 3 fitness sessions a week from YouTube. I’m also going to avoid alcohol and stick to decaf tea and coffee with just one caffeinated drink a day.

I have to take control of my body this year - I’m done with being fat!
