I am !

I have bought a shiny new notebook.
I have been searching pintrest for bullet journal ideas.
This includes couch to 5k (for the 3rd time)

I really need to sort my health and fatness (not a typo) out .

So if you need a partner in crime to give you a nudge or a kick then please come and join me.

More importantly if you are one of the few miracles out there that day feeling like this last year and actually succeeded please come and tell me your tales.

All welcome.

Deeedeee that comment really made me laugh. Am also a slug with a bottle of wine on the sofa. I do, however have a plan!!! 1) running from 2nd, 2) back to no wheat no/low sugar 3) 2litres of water a day. I was sooooo good til about mid Dec then fell into a pit of twiglet/cheese/leftovers. I feel horrendous but can't seem to stop as I know there's still more 'off' days to go (and more stuff in the cupboard) I have a one stone tyre around my waist to shift at the bare minimum. Will be getting a bin liner on Jan 1st and getting rid of all the crap and leftovers as well.

Violetroselily · 29/12/2018 20:59

I've gone out and bought some running gear today so that I can start Couch to 5K. Obbiosuly i only bought cheap stuff so that I haven't wasted loads of money when I inevitably give up 🤦‍♀️

DameBurleyChassis · 29/12/2018 21:00

I’m in!!!

I get married at the end of April and need to shift a lot - won’t be where I need or want to be by then but as long as I look more presentable in the photos...

Also had a huge health scare earlier this year - suspected TIA the week before my 38th birthday which thankfully(?) turned out to have been an ocular migraine but my weight, blood pressure and general health all need an overhaul.

But first, pringles Grin

Also in! Im a mess! Health is at an all time low and the amount of weight i have put on since i had my two children is disgusting. Im sick of feeling and looking like absolute shit and im so determined to get fit 2019! Currently stuffing my face and will do so until 12am new years day lol..we can d0 this ladies!

bonfireheart · 29/12/2018 21:03

Me!!
Joined gym a few months ago and actually enjoy it when I'm there but life gets in the way and I think "oh I'll just go to the gym tomorrow."
And this last week has involved too much food!! Also DD was away for christmas so wants us to have a full xmas meal on new years day!!
I think if i do 'small' goals its more achievable, so goals for January are:
1- no takeaways or eating out
2- don't buy unhealthy snacks from supermarket
3- fill up the fruit bowl and leave it in easy reach
4- go to gym at least twice a week

I'm also money saving for holiday so 1 & 2 should help with that.
Got three family weddings next year and need to lose 1-2 stones so I can fit inmy dresses and not hide when it's time to take the photos!

Easy peasy right?!?

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 29/12/2018 21:03

My top tip for drinking is to only drink on one designated night. Just one. Not “weekends”.
Even if you go mad it’s hard to drink as much as if you had drinks throughout the week. And it although you need to have a bit of discipline, its good knowing in six days you can enjoy a glass or three.

BatCakes · 29/12/2018 21:05

I'm with you OP. Just let me finish this cheese, shortbread and ice cream and I'm totally there

I have the beautiful diary type book. I have a gym membership. I've decided on what diet I'm going to follow. And I need to lose 3 stone exactly by the middle of April. We are going on a really big family holiday - think LA and San Francisco - and I just wont enjoy it like this.

MrsWembley · 29/12/2018 21:07

Same & flippy, that's insane, both of you! Thanks

NotSteven, I think with your 'lazy, unwholesome fitness' comment, you have gained yourself a pal...

abbsisspartacus · 29/12/2018 21:07

I'm in! My partner is a bit of a feeder so this year has been full of Starbucks and Costa hot chocolates I have to eat gluten free so he has been buying me trash instant gluten free shit it's full of fat and sugar that plus my usual bad diet people have now started asking if I'm pregnant

MrsWembley · 29/12/2018 21:07

Oh my, I've just remembered how much cheese there is in the fridge...

VittysCardigan · 29/12/2018 21:08

My first target is to watch the sunrise on New Years Day. It's at 8.17 so not ridiculously early! I am really looking forward to it so will be a great incentive not too over indulge the night before.

Jemmy365 · 29/12/2018 21:08

I'm in! I did a 6 week gym challenge that ended before Xmas and I lost nearly 2 stone....but ive done my damndest to put it back on over Xmas through hard-core cheese and wine consumption.

Am getting back on the wagon on the third, going to do 3 classes a week and back on the gym food plan which worked really well for me.
Got 3 stone to lose before April, when I turn 40. Blush

FusionChefGeoff · 29/12/2018 21:10

Well, the pringles were safely stashed in the garage until I read your thread title.... Grin

Deeedeeee · 29/12/2018 21:11

Turning 40 next year, determined to feel better about myself by then.
I lost lots of weight 4 years ago, too much in fact, was unsustainable and I was a tad too thin. This time I vow to be less obsessive and kinder to myself.
Small steps ladies. Week one diet changes, week two add an exercise class etc... I will not engage in stupid diets anymore but make positive changes. Dammit.

GreyandGrumpy48 · 29/12/2018 21:11

I’m in- I have 2 new notebooks and a special pen I had shipped from America for the purpose of writing my new goals. I’m starting on the 1st and have at least 3 stone to lose.

MawkishTwaddle · 29/12/2018 21:12

Me!

I’ve signed up for Daily Om. I logged my breakfast on MFP this morning.

By lunchtime, DS had pissed me off so I ate a cheese and ham bagel, a bag of mini cheddars and six biscuits.

I then had a curry with naan, chapattis and poppadums AND rice, and now I’m well into the wine and I’ve eaten four chocolates.

I have a holiday in Mexico in six weeks, and a wedding soon after, and I MUST LOSE TWO STONE.

MawkishTwaddle · 29/12/2018 21:13

Oh shit I’ve had Christmas cake as well Blush

JennyOnAPlate · 29/12/2018 21:13

Yup. I'm on my 3rd glass of wine and have just had a Chinese. I'm hugely annoyed with myself tbh.

mamaduckbone · 29/12/2018 21:14

Me!
I lost a stone last year and seem to be intent in putting it all back on in a week.
Back to soup and salad in the new year.

GeoEm · 29/12/2018 21:15

Yes I defo need to budge the fatness too!
I used to be 7 1/2 /8 stone ish at 5'4 and now I'm almost 11 stone.
Hate the way I am looking!

Planning on making healthy changes and have been doing the last 2 weeks (more walking, no takeaways, no fizzy juice, smaller meals). Also planning to join slimming world in NY.

Good luck everyone.

Rainbowsandrascals · 29/12/2018 21:18

Count me in.
Why is losing weight so damn hard?

2019IsGonnaBeMyYear · 29/12/2018 21:20

Howlong promise you will keep your threat that you will hunt me down if I disappear! I need someone like that it my life to keep me in the straight and narrow

Just looking for some whole food/no carb type print offs to stick in the billet journal. No fad 'diet' here as truly sick of all of them. Just good quality food, the occasional treat and a bit of 5:2 thrown in for good measure!

Also thinking of a few small goals to add in for January. Need to keep them small and simple as anything else overwhelms me.

2019IsGonnaBeMyYear · 29/12/2018 21:21

Must also learn in 2019 not to press post without checking for typos first!!!!

XmasPostmanBos · 29/12/2018 21:21

Omg Yes! I am planning mine with a box of chocs and some mini mince pies.

Parttimewasteoftime · 29/12/2018 21:22

Good luck I need to sort my shit out next year. I just feel so bloated and fat so bit of a detox needed less wine no chocolate or junk.
Really considering the meat free January as well crap at exercises never ran or gymed it since DC!? 🤔
