Looking for some inspiration...

Is there something that is relatively inexpensive (£100 max) that has had an good impact on your quality of life?

I have vouchers that need used.

OP posts:

My uggs (Brought for less than £100 in the sale) I struggle with shoes being uncomfortable a lot of the time but these are literally the most comfortable shoes I've ever known!!

WhenLifeGivesYouLemonsx · 27/12/2018 07:52

My air fryer. It has saved so much electricity since using it (my cooker runs on electric).

brizzledrizzle · 27/12/2018 08:06

The little animals that clip on charger cables to stop them breaking.
A charger cable for my phone for the car so I can listen to my music when I drive
Extra pillows for my bed, just cheap b and m Ones but it's a luxury for me

IamMummyhearmeROAR · 27/12/2018 09:06

Instant pot. Use it several times a week

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 27/12/2018 09:13

Wow some people have a very different definition of inexpensive to me!

@Nonomore3
This is the coffee thingy - it comes with a travel mug, but we use it with regular mugs.

What do you mean Ali1ce? The OP said £100 max, that's the range people have posted in.

ChippyMinton · 27/12/2018 09:57

Soup maker.
It gets used 2-3 times a weeks, and we have a few sistema soup cups which I fill to reheat in the microwave at work. Saves a fortune on lunches or time on making sandwich - I take a chunk of bread instead.

BoswelliaGoldMyrrh · 27/12/2018 10:14

Feldgrind hand coffee grinder. Think was just over £100 inc p&p, but was a lifechanging purchase. Freshly ground coffee every morning. I just use Aldi beans, but far better than the mediocre offerings from the coffee chains.

Aeropress coffee maker. To go with the above Brew

Instant Pot

Anker folding mini solar panel. Keeps devices charged while camping/power cut.

Lots of people saying an air fryer - what do you cook in them (every picture is just chips!)

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 27/12/2018 10:49

I was referring to the moleskin diary Grin Meet, yes it's less than £100 but I wouldn't consider it an inexpensive notebook - and I actually use a version of a bullet journal!

Placemarking for air fryer info

ChodeofChodeHall · 27/12/2018 11:05

A backnobber. Recommended to me by a massage therapist. Just a long piece of plastic with knobs on the end for massaging your own back but it's really effective!

MeetOnTheSIedge · 27/12/2018 11:06

Ah, I see Ali1ce. It wasn't me that posted it but I do use Moleskine notebooks as bullet journals, they are sturdy, good quality paper, attractive and can withstand being carted around in a handbag for a year, so to me they are worth spending a bit more money on.

FlosCampi · 27/12/2018 11:08

Chromecast, if you don't have a smart tv!

Rainatnight · 27/12/2018 15:59

Love the look of the Muji shelves.

Could someone expand on the benefits of a soup maker? Isn't that just a saucepan, unless I'm being thick?

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 27/12/2018 16:10

Thought I'd already posted this! I used an OXO tin opener in our holiday chalet and keep meaning to get one. It was so easy to use.

I'd also say a Tangle Teezer hairbrush. And agree with the pp who said a hair wrap/turban.

millionaireshortie · 27/12/2018 16:18

@ChippyMinton - any fantastic soup recipes you could share? Sounds like such a good idea!

MrsDaveGrohl78 · 27/12/2018 16:25

Amazon Echo Dot
Electric blanket
Ceramic pans

Best things I've ever bought!

BreakWindandFire · 27/12/2018 16:36

A big bag of Ikea Bevara sealing clips - less than £2. Saves me from knotting bags and then being unable to unknot them!

ComeOnGordon · 27/12/2018 16:39

A salad spinner - we eat a lot of rocket etc but it kept going soggy. Now in this it lasts for 5 days easy

wiltingflower · 27/12/2018 16:52

A pumice stone from Boots.

I use it almost everyday/ every other day in the shower for a quick 30 seconds all over and it's a real game changer as I used to have eternally hard soles which nail filing and the use of an electronic Scholl footfile couldn't help with at all. It took about a week of daily usage before I reached my current sole status which is easily maintained. I couldn't ever go back to a pumice less life now! There's something satisfying about having soft feet and it has the knock on effect of being more manicure and pedicure savvy.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/12/2018 19:11

I really want one of those Moleskine diaries. I put it on my Christmas lit but none of my 'Santa's could find one - might have to treat myself.

Nineoutoftenducks · 27/12/2018 20:11

An electric blanket, what utter bliss. No more faffing about with a hot water bottle.

One of those ridiculously zoomed, lighted, make up mirrors from Boots - great for when you need to ensure that every last chin hair has been removed.

My Contigo travel mug. I my look like a knob occasionally but I am never without a hot drink when I don’t want to be.

OopsInamechangedagain · 27/12/2018 21:01

@nancy75 I use my airfryer for lots of the things I cook for my vegetarian DSCs - things like frozen quorn sausages or nuggets cook in half the time compared with a regular oven and they brown evenly all over. I also use it for reheating foods such as danish pastries, croissants, onion bhajis, sweetcorn fritters, leftover roast potatoes, all sorts of things really. If you cook something like oven chips or potato smiles they come out tasting very close to a deep-fried version. And of course you can make healthier chips from scratch. It's my second most used kitchen gadget after my instant pot.

bootygirl · 27/12/2018 21:14

Yoga therapy balls. Use them for my neck back & sciatica. Life changing.
