Looking for some inspiration...

Is there something that is relatively inexpensive (£100 max) that has had an good impact on your quality of life?

I have vouchers that need used.

aspirenature · 01/01/2019 12:33

Another one for halogen oven -hardly use the conventional oven now.

Do the motion sensor lights need any wiring? Also, could anybody perhaps link, please?

A couple more for me:
Really comfortable black ankle boots from Clarks - flat ones and heeled ones

Little battery operated tealights and fairy lights from the White Company - really brighten up the fireplace!

Vegan pies from Pieminister for very easy Sunday lunches!

Perfectil hair, skin and nails tablets - I was losing loads of hair, and these have really helped.

Liquid iron

These little veg knives were mentioned on a previous MN thread and they are indeed fantastic. Highly recommended.

@sukie - thank you for the steamer link!

For anyone looking at motion sensor lights, we have the Hive heating system and have it as part of that as we have a Hive sensor and a Hive light bulb in the upstairs hallway that is programmed to come on overnight if someone wakes up for the loo.

beanaseireann · 01/01/2019 23:00

Remus
The little Aldi / Lidl ? motion sensor light I have in the loo is battery operated- it sits on the lid of the cistern. It doesn't give a huge amount of light though.

Wider fit trainers with memory foam. Made a big improvement to my life. I have a pair as my indoor shoes as well.

Barbaraanne22 · 02/01/2019 07:16

I've decided I need a heated throw blanket! Please can the people who recommended them tell me which one they have?

RitaTheBeater · 02/01/2019 07:53

You can get motion sensor lights in Ikea.

I recently converted to “period pants” ie knickers with inbuilt absorbency so you don’t need to use a tampon or towel. They’ve changed my life during my period. I’ve always hated any san pro and have tried mooncups/sponges/every brand of towel and tampon but never found one that’s really suited me.

Period pants are amazing. One pair at night, one for the main part of the day and change again when I get back from work. Rinse and wash as normal then dry overnight ready for next day. I managed without any other protection and had zero leaks or any odd smells Blush but maybe if you had a very heavy flow you might want some backup.

I bought these from Cheeky Wipes but they’re out of stock at the moment which is annoying as I wanted more. £24.95 for three pairs.

Highly recommended.

Hullabalooo · 02/01/2019 22:27

Thanks @pilcrow
