Looking for some inspiration...

Is there something that is relatively inexpensive (£100 max) that has had an good impact on your quality of life?

I have vouchers that need used.

I've just bought sheepskin slippers - I think they might well become a game-changer!

0ellenbrody0 · 30/12/2018 21:02

My under £100 life changers are:

Bodum travel mug, I use it every day
Asics running shoes, worth every penny
Dolce Gusto machine

Am off to buy sheepskin liners for my shoes......this thread could prove an expensive read!

Plastic flexible trug in kitchen cupboard under sink for recycling.

Nivea cream in the big blue pot (use on neck, chest, fingernails, elbows and knees).

£38 per week on cleaner.

£12 per week on ironing.

£65 per year on annual oven clean.

I'm really enjoying this thread.

I have the contigo thermos cup. £20. Use it every day. Never leaks. Really worth the investment.

I also love my bayliss big hair rotating brush. So easy to blow dry your hair. I have super thick hair and this is perfect.

As a treat I love MAC sheer lipsticks.

I think some good make up brushes are a great treat when you have an unexpected cash treat.

My absolute favourite trest is my filofax! Bloody love my filofax. Use it every day and find it very useful to keep my life organised

a good caserole dish (second hand)

hot water bottle

gaggiagirl · 30/12/2018 23:03

Echo dot £45 or less. Very useful. I never forget to add things to the shopping list now.

Gousto box £47(monthly) meal planning and shopping all done for me and really expandedy cooking repertoire.

Stand mixer. £59 which I use to make bread, meringues. All sorts.

Bluetooth FM transmitter £7.50 for my old car. Now I can play anything from my phone through my car speaker. I love listening to podcasts while driving to work.

Philips hue bulbs £50 ish so I can turn off the lights that everyone leaves on from my phone.

Decent kitchen knife, make up brushes and memory foam slippers. All things that I wouldn't spend money on myself but I've really appreciated and use a lot.

whywhywhywhywhyyy · 30/12/2018 23:35

A proper skincare routine. I use the snail mucin line from COSRX, it's made an enormous difference to my skin :)

twosoups1972 · 30/12/2018 23:45

@greenpop21 any chance of a picture of the F&B paint? What shade is it? I'm choosing a paint colour at the moment for dining room and TV room.

mmmgoats · 31/12/2018 01:13

I absolutely love this thread.

heated blanket for bed - so cosy

primark luxury soft touch socks - only £3.50 and so soft and warm

Bullet journal- I don’t make mine pretty but it keeps me organised

origins super spot remover - it is the BEST spot killer I’ve ever used and I have tried many

mmmgoats · 31/12/2018 01:15

Oh and the mighty mug - had so many near misses spilling drinks close to my laptop this has been a game changer!

QuestionableMouse · 31/12/2018 01:26

A rechargeable hand held Hoover. It's fab, no more cat food/litter/crumbs in awkward places. Also great for in the car.

My Chromebook. No more fighting with windows 10. It's super quick too.

grimupnorth1 · 31/12/2018 01:47

Slow cooker!

ilovesooty · 31/12/2018 02:47

2 in one usb charger
A new shower head - the one in the house when I moved in was awful
Plug in light sensitive bulbs for the hall and landing
Small lightweight rucksack for overnight trips - I keep spare toiletries in there ready to go
Lumie alarm clock - cheap one but it's made getting up in the winter much easier
Fly boots - so comfortable

NewName54321 · 31/12/2018 02:59

Soup-maker (for the person who was asking about recipes, I’d recommend Tesco's Nana's magic soup.) and slow cooker for making me prepare healthier foods. Love coming in from work on a cold day to find dinner is cooked.

Daffodils. Seeing them start to grow is a sign that that winter is coming to an end and they have the most beautiful smell when they flower.

Bird feeders

There is a little book called Clear your Clutter with FengShui, £6, you can read it in 2 hours and find yourself carrying bags of clutter out within 24 hrs.

Life changing, my life is not the same since I read it about 20 years ago.

lastqueenofscotland · 31/12/2018 07:32

Parkrun (which is free) totally changed my life. Went from a nervous wreck to confident as it turned it I was really fast, and confident enough to be a run director of a large, inner city run. Discovered them a bit ahead of the curve several years ago and get a bit emotional talking about it to people

GodrestyemerrySchadenfreud · 31/12/2018 07:48

pineapplebryanbrown · 31/12/2018 09:01

Want snow boots like trainers, get very cold and muddy dog walking.

Got a tassimo machine for £29 from Amazon warehouse deals. I'd like a teasmade for coffee by my bed as don't drink much tea.

MillicentBeauchamp · 31/12/2018 10:11

several things:

Really nice sheets
