Going through my bathroom toiletries section. Found a pregnancy test, I'm ruthless and just wanted rid of the thing so I can bin it. Due on today, took it literally just to use it up.

Looks like a faint line!

What do you think?

OP very similar happened to me a couple of years ago. We didn't go ahead with the pregnancy. It was very early stages and we got a termination very quickly. I'm not saying it was a walk in the park but we have never looked back. I'm not telling you to do this as it might not be right for you, just wanted to give another perpective.

It all seems a bit coincidental, for that reason I would question such a faint line.

I would suggest buying a test (although where from on Boxing Day?) and waiting until tomorrow but I'm impatient and want you to buy two tests so you can do one today and one tomorrow

None of which are open in my town. I guess if the OP lives in a city or can travel to one of the above.

I don't get how so many MNetters keep seeing lines on these tests?

Me neither Hash, I can see no line on any of them apart from the big red one. Or have tests changed and that's what I am looking for?!

I can see a line but it's too far to the left I think.

There's a few reasons: resolution / contrast of your phone; lighting (screen brightness and in the room); plus plain old eyesight / perception.

I generally see even the faintest lines, but put it down to the above if others don't!

And yes, sorry OP, forgot to say that it does look a little too far to the left.

I am on my laptop and have made the pictures bigger. Still no line.

I was due to have a coil fitted at my 6 week appointment and wanted to be 100% sure I wasn’t pregnant beforehand. I’d had unprotected sex twice so knew there was a tiny chance I could be, even though I was EBF. When I got two clear positives, I was convinced it must just be residual HCG from my 6 week old but my OB said this was very unlikely, hence ordering a blood test. This came back negative so I’m not really sure why two urine tests showed positive.

That's a positive test - line looks in the right place to me.

I can see it on my phone without making the picture bigger! People's eyes are different too. 👀

I’ve had fainter lines than that before that turned into clear lines (although my previous assertion that the line is a bit too far left still stands).

Also, I'm technically due on today BUT I only had sex 11 days ago. So no way I'm 14 days post ovulation

If you're on the pill you shouldn't be ovulating. That's kind of the point.

I'd probably get the test that says 'pregnant' and 'not pregnant', although I believe they aren't as sensitive as other tests. Test using your first pee of the day too, for best results

The left line looks too far over to me though

My faint, strain your eyes line from last year is sitting in the back of the car with me. It was so faint I could not even see it initially, only when I went back. I got a clear pregnant on one of the clear blue digital tests later the same day but have heard people say they are not as sensitive.
