MustBeThin · 21/12/2018 13:37

Did mine yesterday at 8am 😁 no queue because I used scan and go! Just going to nip out early tomorrow to get some fresh bread.

gingercat02 · 21/12/2018 13:42

Mine is coming on Sunday morning too but I've just spent £70 in Aldi on booze and cheese ☺

tellmewhenthespaceshiplands · 21/12/2018 13:44

Ginger I reckon you're sorted then! What more does one need?!

Sparklingbrook · 21/12/2018 13:45

Too soon for me. Early on Christmas Eve has always been fine but we don't have Christmas Dinner so no turkey panic or anything like that.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 21/12/2018 13:51

Everything is in date to last til 29th that I got.V pleased

DH always want the freshest bread possible, so he's always out on Christmas Eve but he's dead fussy.

PeroniZuchini · 21/12/2018 13:55

I did my big, insanely expensive shop at Aldi on Tuesday and had a top-up arrive from Waitrose last night. Now I think I’m going to have to go out for a ‘top-up-top-up’ tomorrow 😩. And I’ve got an order in at the local butchers for the important stuff. It never seems to end!

HRTpatch · 21/12/2018 13:56

Don't need to buy anything.
Eating out for 5 days Grin

Bluearsedfly36 · 21/12/2018 13:59

did the booze and goodies (ienice cakes etc) last sunday, meat for christmas day and boxing day ordered to pick up on monday from the local market butcher, just got to face aldi on sunday for veg fresh stuff like pate and saald and normal shopping sorted

Troels · 21/12/2018 14:14

Did mine today, Aldi at 9.30, by the time I came out at 10.00 cars were waiting for parking spots, off to Morrisons, got most of the rest, but no Gluten free bread flour in stock. I did find lots of nice nibbles for Christmas teatime.
Then off to Asda (gotta have flour) What a bloody nightmare, they have parking attendants all over, went in got the rest of my list, veg for Sunday and Christmas, cream, flour and more, so much more. At the checkouts forever, then directed out by the attendants, (it was actually a great idea and is working)
Got in and I've forgotten three things, Bake yourself buns, Wine, and beer. Dh said he'll go with me tonight after tea, about 8pm.

Starlight456 · 21/12/2018 14:17

I was supposed to go today but in bed ill.

Si1ver · 21/12/2018 14:18

Did mine this morning, was waiting when Tesco opened at 8. Everything has long bbd on them. We'll probably need some milk before the end of the holidays, but other than that I see no need to go back to shops.

Unless my husband deems 40 pigs in blankets to be insufficient. In which case he can and forage for himself. 😁

Mamabearx4 · 21/12/2018 14:24

Done mine. Went and got fresh bread today.
Fyi.. to those wanting freshest bread as possible. I found out as long as you freeze them correctly, they will fresh on defrosting reheat and its like straight out of the shop.

EssentialHummus · 21/12/2018 14:25

I think I peaked too early - giant shop on Wednesday, top up shop today, and I reckon it'll be top up two on Sunday for bread. And we don't even bloody celebrate Christmas.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 21/12/2018 14:35

I’ve not even started, everything isnhp in the air due to family issues. We may be on supernoodles and sausages at this rate.

Moominfan · 21/12/2018 14:38

I nipped to Morrison's today and it basically Armageddon. Doing mine in Aldi Xmas eve

Peridot1 · 21/12/2018 14:55

Big shop delivery due any minute. Will pick up turkey from farm shop on Sunday and get any other bits I need there or in our local Co-op or Tesco Express.

Contemplating nipping into town in the morning for two present I still need. Then I’m done I think.

Until next week. Have family coming for four days over new year and two unexpected teen boys.

MakeTeaNotWar · 21/12/2018 15:15

I'm going to Waitrose at 10am Sunday when it opens. That'll be ok right?

thenewaveragebear1983 · 21/12/2018 15:40

I did mine first at Lidl, then Asda, it took 2hrs 15 mins door to door. I was very impressed with that. The most annoying person I encountered was my own toddler son, who has decided to become the world's biggest crap bag this week. Highlights included crying because I bought red cheese and not purple cheese; crying because he gnawed through a wax coated Santa cheese which was the consolation for the red/purple fiasco; pretending to cough and eventually making himself sick in the trolley; etc etc.

Magical times. Magical.
