'If there's one thing that really fucking annoys me it's people making this kind of judgement on someone else's medical situation based on their own limited experience'

I've years of ITU/hdu experience and I'm trying to help. The op seems to think she is reliant on suction. If she doesn't have a trachy then clinically she has been assessed as able to clear secretions orally. This is not my judgment it is medical protocol.

Seafour · 06/01/2019 21:21

Chanel in your experience did you ever come across a patient with a paralysed diaphragm who didn't have a tracheotomy? You don't know every clinical scenario for every person with a health condition, it would be miraculous if you did.

You’ve had 47 years of good health - amazing :) More than many of us can hope so I suppose. I guess that’s how old you were when you had your accident, a few years back?

And your son is nearly 40 now?

Nacknick · 06/01/2019 21:23

I'll let Seafour reply if she wants to but it seems to me that there are many instances where standard medical protocol doesn't apply to her rather unique set of circumstances.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 06/01/2019 21:25

@nicknack nails it really
“Her rather unique set of circumstances “

Derma · 06/01/2019 21:27

Lol Unique is certainly one way to describe them

'If there's one thing that really fucking annoys me it's people making this kind of judgement on someone else's medical situation based on their own limited experience'

And surely you yourself have just done the same?

ChanelPlease · 06/01/2019 21:30

Many many different conditions affecting respiratory function op.

If you can cough secretions into your mouth you spit them out. If you can't them I'm not sure where you are sticking the suction catheter because people can't tolerate them being inserted into airways orally when concious?

Sorry, I'm not interrogating you I just don't think you are as reliant on this medical equipment as you think, maybe it's from when you were first unwell and it's stayed. Ask your respiratory nurses to review your requirements.

Seafour · 06/01/2019 21:31

My son was born when I was 17, he's 38 now so yes nearly 40.

BahHumPug · 06/01/2019 21:32

Gosh, a very eventful life! Wow! Hope you feel better soon!

TheFatberg · 06/01/2019 21:33

This thread will go for "privacy reasons" I bet.

Cuntcuntcunt · 06/01/2019 21:36

It needs to go for privacy reasons of the carer tbh. Some of what has been said about her is disgraceful.

Batshittery · 06/01/2019 21:39

Oh dear indeed.

Seafour · 06/01/2019 21:53

I have done nothing to identify the care agency I am using or the person that was providing care for them. Thank you to everyone who has pointed out that I shouldn't have made comments about them or the quality of the care they were able to provide. There will be no further reference made about my care. Just my progress as I recover.

OP posts:
Derma · 06/01/2019 21:53

And no plausible and easy explanation of your skin cancer tx either? I'm not at all surprised because you are clearly confused about it otherwise you would have responded quickly.

Just be normal you Seafour. Your don't need to exaggerate. The people who love you will still love you.

Good luck, genuinely.

Cuntcuntcunt · 06/01/2019 21:57

You have identified them, because you have posted photos of yourself. So anyone who knows you and sees this thread (your medical conditions appear to be unique) will know it is you and therefore know the carers and HCPs you and others here have been so horrible about.

Seafour · 06/01/2019 22:11

The medical professionals who were involved in my clinical negligence case can easily be identified because it's a matter of public record.
If I had at any time said anything untrue about a hcp or the care they have given me I would have reasons to worry. I have no such worries.

OP posts:
bexcee · 06/01/2019 22:14

What's going on here?
If you don't believe Seafour, aren't interested in her diagnosis, surgery or recovery why are you wasting your time here?
Please feel free to hide this thread and move on I'm sure Seafour won't mind.

Cuntcuntcunt · 06/01/2019 22:15

You and some others on this thread have been shockingly nasty and rude about the new carer. And you shouldn't do that. It's just wrong.

LuckyLou7 · 06/01/2019 22:20

It's not the medical professionals who were involved in your criminal negligence case though, Seafour, it's the woman who is currently working for you - some of the things you have posted about her have been rather unkind, and if she were to read Mumsnet, she would be upset. I know I would, if I recognised myself - I am a healthcare professional and if one of my patients slated me online, especially where people could work out who I was, I would have to take some sort of action.

BigApple11 · 06/01/2019 22:33

@cooblanket what's a mint roller?

KatesMott · 06/01/2019 22:48

Well this is a crock of shit isn’t it 🙄

SpitefulMidLifeAnimal · 06/01/2019 22:51

BigApple11 I'm sure someone will be along in a min to explain what a mint roller is...

BahHumPug · 06/01/2019 22:51

I’d really like to know how you managed to get rid of a palm-sized facial scar though! In two months no less. That’s pretty amazing!

KatesMott · 06/01/2019 22:54

I’ve had skin cancer myself- still have a scar on my back 6 years on and that was just from a WLE. Would also love to know about this amazing scar reducing therapy that removes this quicker than a post from the fornite troll
