Muriell walking past her Mum in “Muriel’s Wedding” and then the happy photo of her her they find afterwards. Just one of many.

Inside out, when Bingbong sacrifices himself. Both me and dd wailed!
City of Angels when she dies.
And I will never forgive Alan Rickman for giving his wife the CD in Love Actually.

Buddy getting his foot stuck in the train track in Fried green tomatoes at whistle stop cafe.

Clawdy · 12/12/2018 21:39

"Daddy, my daddy!" Always gets me.
The end of Nowhere Boy, as he walks alone towards the future.
The end of Bohemian Rhapsody.
The last scene in the last episode of Upstart Crow, after the little boy has died. "Grief fills the room up of my absent child..."

Brokenanother1 · 12/12/2018 21:42

Good night mr tom. When they find him locked in the cupboard cradling the baby and the baby has died. Horrendously sad. So many moments in that film. " I can ride dad, I can ride makes me cry every time.

hotstepper4 · 12/12/2018 21:43

Not sure if anyone would remember but there's a scene in Greys Anatomy where a terminally ill mum has to break the news to her teenage daughter that she is going to die. Broke me!

Loads more Greys scenes, I love that show.

This Is Us - just all of it.

A film called Miss You Already with Drew Barrymore and Toni Collette made me ugly cry.

And most recent, Mamma Mia 2, the bit at the chapel at the end, when Donna and Sophie were singing together 😢

Parisetoile · 12/12/2018 21:44

Slum dog millionaire. At the end when the couple meet she said 'I thought we'd only see each other in death' (badly paraphrased by me but ages since I've seen it)
I cried so much my eyes puffed up!! I hadn't cried like that since I was a teenager.

Beatitudes · 12/12/2018 21:45

The scene in A star is born where the dog is keeping watch over Bradley Cooper's body. Cried my eyes out.
Marley & me and A dog's life with a very odd looking Dennis Quaid....blubbering mess. Mainly dogs that get me & children. 😭😭

nowifi · 12/12/2018 21:46

Good Will Hunting too, I can't remember the exact words but when Matt Damon is talking to Robin Williams and starts crying, so sad!

MarshaBradyo · 12/12/2018 21:46

Nowifi
‘It’s not your fault’ part?
So sad

ja9r · 12/12/2018 21:47

Love actually when Emma Wilson finds the necklace and pulls herself together

Sob

Howl!!

nowifi · 12/12/2018 21:50

Yes Marsha that's it!

Beatitudes · 12/12/2018 21:50

I agree with the earlier poster who mentioned the adoption scene in Suffragette. Heartbreaking 😭

GarethSouthgatesWaistcoat · 12/12/2018 21:50

Dr Gant - ER.

iknowimcoming · 12/12/2018 21:53

Stepmom - where Julia Roberts tells Susan Sarandon that her biggest fear is that on her (step)daughters wedding day she'll do all the the things that her mother would do but the daughter will still be wishing it was her real mother there and Susan saying my biggest fear is she won't!

Also up close and personal where she sees the red laces and knows Robert Redford is dead

Avegemitesandwich · 12/12/2018 21:54

And most recent, Mamma Mia 2, the bit at the chapel at the end, when Donna and Sophie were singing together

Yes, I bawled at this!

The bit in Up where he is looking at the photo album and gets to the Adventures I'm Going To Have bit and thinks it will be empty because they never did get to go on their adventures, but then he sees that she put in all the things they did do together - oh my gaaaaaaaad! 😭

Yes to the bit at the end of Toy Story 3 where they all hold hands, the way Buzz looks at Woody!

I can't watch Dumbo anymore.

SheWoreBlueVelvet · 12/12/2018 22:00

Jay55 yep

Mama Mia 2 . All of it, As a single mum that basically gave birth alone but ended up with kindness of some brilliant women.

abbsisspartacus · 12/12/2018 22:11

Not a film but the mash episode where pierce goes nuts he keeps telling the Dr about this chicken being noisy and nearly getting everyone who was hiding killed turns out it was a baby and she killed it by smothering it to quiet it his mind broke he couldn't cope with what she did to try and keep every one alive

Thankssomuch · 12/12/2018 22:12

Yes to the final scene in Gallipoli. Unbearably moving.
The scene in Kes where he finds the body of his hawk in the bin.
A film called Missing starring Sissy Spacek and Jack Lemmon is incredibly sad ( a true story too).
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.
Sophie’s Choice (in fact don’t even go there)

Family Life and My Name Is Joe by Ken Loach. OMG that little girl in care, can’t remember the name. Cathy Come Home is heart wrenching.

OutComeTheWolves · 12/12/2018 22:22

The final scene of pride.

This is England- when woody goes to see lol In the hospital. I think she says I've been a bit poorly or something similar.

abbsisspartacus · 12/12/2018 22:25

In good will hunting he said "its not your fault"

purplegoat · 12/12/2018 22:33

The beginning bit of Up

The end of Blackadder goes forth

The Lion King when Simba shouts "you said you'd always be there for me" to the sky.

How I Met Your Mother when Marshall's dad dies and he hugs Lily and says "I'm not ready for this" my dad died about the same time this episode aired and those 5 words were so accurate.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 12/12/2018 22:33

Phantom of the Opera - where Christine leaves the Phantom to be with Raoul, she kisses him and gives him back her engagement ring.

Les Miserables - where Fantine is on the game.

ilovepixie · 12/12/2018 22:34

The railway children. Daddy my daddy
