I always cry at the beginning, when Hugh Grant is talking about love around us and the arrivals terminal at Heathrow. How the messages from people at the Twin Towers were all messages of love and not hate 😭

But I feel somewhat stabby at Miss Knightly saying "I look quite pretty" - Well of course you do, you're a bloody actress/model.

I adore Alan Rickman, even though he was a fool.

I love Colin Firth, and Billy Mack the rockstar makes me chuckle.

Emma Thompson (obviously).

Roman Atkinson, he helped the boy get through security. I didn't notice that before.

All my in laws say it's rubbish Grin they are not in my good books

Yup.

Escolar · 02/12/2018 21:41

Meh. It’s okay.

SylvanianFrenemies · 02/12/2018 21:41

I hate it. I can't even have it as a guilty pleasure, it's just crap.

All the one dimensional characters, the weirdly inappropriate behaviour, the creepiness in almost every subplot... Emma Thomson's acting is good. That's all I can say in positive terms.

ThursdayLastWeek · 02/12/2018 21:42

Oh yes, it’s awful but I love it.

bluebell34567 · 02/12/2018 21:42

i dont remember love actually a lot but i hate mama mia and its songs a lot.

hazeyjane · 02/12/2018 21:42

Oh god. That film. I. Fucking. Hate. It.

TroyKing · 02/12/2018 21:42

I've not seen it. Only excerpts from it unfortunately.

I loathe Hugh Grant and I don't like romance films do I wouldn't watch it. Ever.

Paddingtonthebear · 02/12/2018 21:44

No. I remember going to see it at the cinema and thought it was quite depressing! Have half-watched it a few times since and now think it’s just cringe.

Charmlight · 02/12/2018 21:44

Love, love, love it! Hope I haven’t missed it?

hj15 · 02/12/2018 21:48

Great film, and I like her saying she looks pretty too.

Women should be allowed to say they looked nice without worrying someone will judge 🙄

LizzieBennettDarcy · 02/12/2018 21:50

It's such corny trash, you can't help but like it. I think Emma Thompson is outstanding in it..... and I adore Andrew Lincoln but it's pure pure stinking rotten cheese at it's finest.

Jojoanna · 02/12/2018 21:53

Hate it

Studentnurse1981 · 02/12/2018 21:56

Nope I think its crap

SundayIsCalling · 02/12/2018 21:58

I'm confused, who is Alan Rickmansworth actually so mesmerised by?! Is it an actual PA or just some random admin team member?

And who is the girl Hugh Grant falls for? We know she isn't the PA, because the PA is the old woman who changed the time of his meeting after he was caught dancing Grin Is the common girl just the tea girl?

lazymare · 02/12/2018 22:00

Love it

Twodogsandahooch · 02/12/2018 22:00

Awful awful awful. Martine McCutcheon bits are the worst.

Holidayshopping · 02/12/2018 22:00

The swearing is naff and rubbish - no one ever says 'Oh piss it'

I do!

Holidayshopping · 02/12/2018 22:02

I'm confused, who is Alan Rickmansworth actually so mesmerised by?! Is it an actual PA or just some random admin team member?

Does it matter if she’s a PA or if she works in admin Grin?!

He’s her boss-she works there.

itbemay · 02/12/2018 22:03

I love especially Natalie! But have seen it so many times now

fessmess · 02/12/2018 22:04

Absolutely shit. In a bad way.

Crunchymum · 02/12/2018 22:07

Its of its time.

I remember coming out of the cinema after seeing it, and feeling all warm and fuzzy. Re-watched (a few times) and it isn't as good.

ShatnersBassoon · 02/12/2018 22:11

It's diabolical in every single way except for Emma Thompson; she's brilliant in it. It's worse than every made for TV Xmas movie.

The ludicrous swearing, Keira Knightley acting as if she missed all the practical lessons at drama school, the precocious boy, Hugh Grant doing a comedy dance skit ... I hate it all.

sluj · 02/12/2018 22:15

I love it and can see bits if people and relationships I have known in it. It's got some hard hitting bits in it (looking at you Emma) and not everything works out well in the end.
BUT, it's a Christmas film and it says some thing about relationships , and if you can't say it at Christmas... .

Oh, forgot to say how fantastic the Craig Armstrong original music score is too

BoneyBackJefferson · 02/12/2018 22:15

I like some of it and hate other bits.

popcornwizard · 02/12/2018 22:16

Twee mindless shite, but I watch it every Christmas 😂
