Anyone up?

I'm up because I had lasagne at 8pm and it's given me terrible acid reflux and I woke up with acid in my throat and feeling quite sick. Have come downstairs and put a crappy Christmas film on. Going Christmas shopping in the morning so hope I can get back to sleep soon 💤

Why are you up?

OP posts:
Mokepon · 26/11/2018 02:35

I fell asleep at 8pm after a glass of wine and woke up at 1230 with a raging thirst.
I'm now totally wide awake whirring through my week ahead...I'll probably fall bsck to sleep aound 5ish and wake up groggy.

LondonLassInTheCountry · 26/11/2018 02:35

Thinking i do really need to go to sleep tho!

IHaveBrilloHair · 26/11/2018 02:37

I just can't sleep, I'm watching shopping channel which I always do for company in the night when I'm awake.

@Mokepon oh no not a good time to fall asleep!

@LondonLassInTheCountry my DH is snoring away upstairs in bed, it's good yours is awake for some company for you. I get lonely when I'm awake alone at this time, feels like the whole world has stopped!

Do either of you have to be up in the morning? I do for school run, typical 😢

My baby DD is normally awake about 1 1-:30am however, she’s still sleeping soundly next to me, which is awesome except I’m naturally awake now and my boobs have gone solid! Think I’m going to go express some and then look at whether there are any cyber Monday deals to be had

DownUdderer · 26/11/2018 02:42

I’m in Australia:)

Mokepon · 26/11/2018 02:43

Oh, yes up bright and early for school run and the delight that is the Monday morning meeting at work.
And I should be in the ball for this one as it's in my area.

Are you going for a major spree? I've just been on the thread about getting ready for Christmas and getting all excited!

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 26/11/2018 02:45

@Ellasshitholekitchenpjpiigp ah bless you, I remember those hard boobs myself, not much fun! At least your DD is sleeping longer though. Oh I forgot it was now cyber Monday! Thanks for that

@DownUdderer oh lucky you! Where abouts? What time is is where you are?

I'm up because I live on the other side of the planet.Smile Just about to start making dinner...

4nonblondes · 26/11/2018 02:47

Awake because I'm terribly anxious, itchy and in pain. Hate this time of night. Not sure whether to try to get a GP appointment in the morning or whether to go to A&E. GP will probably need to take bloods, and that's about a 40minute bus ride from the GP surgery. Then again, maybe they'll prescribe pain relief. Would prefer not to have to wake to ring the GP at 8am to try to get an appointment.

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 26/11/2018 02:48

@Mokepon oh no not good then, hopefully you're a coffee drinker and can dose up?? I'm not a coffee drinker but times like this I wish I was!

It's more of getting the last bits, I've bought all the main ones for my two DC already, just need stuff like Xmas eve PJ's for them, something for my baby niece, and some stocking fillers. I'm going with my mam and she's getting me some new clothes for Xmas so looking forward to that mostly, desperately need new clothes!

I've just been reading that thread, can't believe how many people haven't even made a start! I'd be in a panic if I hadn't

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 26/11/2018 02:49

@shiveringtimber where do you live? What's for dinner?

@4nonblondes sorry to hear this, why are you in pain? Do you have someone with you?

OP posts:
4nonblondes · 26/11/2018 02:51

No, I'm on my own tonight which isn't helping the anxiety. I don't know. It's abdominal pain, not really concentrated in any one area.

shiveringtimber · 26/11/2018 02:55

I live in western Canada. Dinner is steak, jacket potatoes and green beans - yum, yum!

Mokepon · 26/11/2018 02:56

Oh that sounds tough @4nonblondes, do you have someone with you? Can you do something to distract yourself..tv/reading?

OP that sounds like a lovely day out, wish i was doing that instead. I'm looking at the calendar now trying to see if I can wangle another wee day off before Christmas- I've holidays left.
I'm training myself to be like all these power people, can only think of Maggie Thatcher at the minute, and get by on 4 hours sleep. It's not too bad now and again!

4nonblondes · 26/11/2018 02:59

Ye, just MNing to distract myself.

BlackBeltInChildWrangling · 26/11/2018 03:00

I am up with a DC. It is unfortunately often the case.

PlinkPlink · 26/11/2018 03:02

I'm awake because DP and I had an argument before he went back to work (late shift). I'm pissed off and my brain is whirring. But am j going to concede and sort it out? Nooooo 😂 he's in the wrong, he can sort it out im sure I'll be sick of feeling like this in the morning so I'll initiate the conversation

shiveringtimber · 26/11/2018 03:04

Just wondering what makes you think your symptoms will require bloodwork, nonblondes? Are you thinking appendicitis?

shiveringtimber · 26/11/2018 03:04

Sorry you're in pain, btw!

Adversecamber22 · 26/11/2018 03:05

I am still recovering from flu, the aches in your bones, everything hurts can’t eat for days most definitely not a cold. I couldn’t even watch tv for a day or two as my eyes hurt so much. I’m now 13 days past day one. My sleep patterns have been up the spout totally.

GreenMeerkat · 26/11/2018 03:06

Yep, feeding 5 week old DS

Sparklfairy · 26/11/2018 03:09

Suffering with chronic insomnia that is getting worse. Normally fall asleep around this time but the last few days I'm just awake right through - not even dozing. Managed a two hour nap this afternoon but wide awake again and know I won't sleep. Never experienced anything like it! Really feel for all the fellow sufferers out there!

LondonLassInTheCountry · 26/11/2018 03:18

Dont have to get up in the morning. Thank goodness...

Steak and jacket sounds so tasty.

Skipped lunch and dinner today...

Bring on breakfast time :)
