Anyone up?

Anyone up?

I'm up because I had lasagne at 8pm and it's given me terrible acid reflux and I woke up with acid in my throat and feeling quite sick. Have come downstairs and put a crappy Christmas film on. Going Christmas shopping in the morning so hope I can get back to sleep soon 💤

Why are you up?

I'm up working on a uni assignment and planning gifts for a friends 21st/christmas (close friend and guy I quite like) and a christmas box for a friend who's parents wont buy her anything because they're paying her rent and I find the idea of her not getting anything christmas morning devastating (her parents have form and by all accounts seem abusive ie regularly leaving her in the house alone from being around 4 and her mum shaving her head at 6 in a fit of temper because she has curly hair and would cry when it was brushed, locking her in a shed when she misbehaved) she thinks its normal and I've tried to convince her to come stay with me over christmas but she doesn't want to rock the boat but I'm determined she's going to have something christmas morning as well as birthday ideas for a male housemate and a 21st birthday box for a female friend.

Sorry for those who are up but need to be up in the morning, I hate looking at the clock and knowing I'm on a count down of when I need to be up Sad

I've now started with the runs, damn cheese on the lasagne, last time I'm eating that. I'm emetophobic so having the runs and feeling queasy is stressing me out lots. Hate feeling like this Sad

@WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream sounds like a rough deal for you. I'm lactose intolerant but the cheese on the lasagne makes it imo. All my housemates and friends are all from very middle class families and all of their family situations stress me out. They may have money but there's no real affection/signs of love, I'm from a very working class family living below the poverty line but my family is rich in love and it hurts me they don't have that. They see what I have and I can see them hurting and I don't want them to feel like that, and that means that I'm making them my family.

Well I'm up for the day now, managed about an hour between 4 and 5 I think it was, felt really sick and started to panic, I'm knackered and not going to have time to nap today either Sad

Hope everyone managed to get a bit of sleep and you all have a lovely day x

Got a couple of hours (broken). Up now for the day too. Yes, I'd say they'll need to take bloods as it would be impossible to diagnose from examination whatever it is. Since I'm up, I'll ring GP for an appointment.

NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound · 26/11/2018 06:51

Thats rough @WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream I've not been asleep yet. I'm hoping I can get an hour then start my work on my assignment again.

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 26/11/2018 06:57

Hope you get seen and sorted @4nonblondes

@NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound good luck with your uni work, definitely try and have a power nap later

No sleep at all here, but hoping to get a couple of hours later.

Wishing all the seriously sleep deprived the best day possible Brew

4nonblondes · 26/11/2018 23:17

Well it's been a long day. Gp diagnosed a UTI. also sent me to A&E for urgent bloods. They have diagnosed pancreatitis in addition. On a trolley awaiting a bed.

Oddsocksandmeatballs · 26/11/2018 23:24

Chest infection, the stairs seem like Everest and prednisone has not yet kicked in. I can just about string a sentence together now which is better than earlier in the day. My partner is on call I was in bed until his phone went twice in quick succession and woke me up so I have come down for a warm drink and a more upright position.

Get well soon all the poorly MNers.

LondonLassInTheCountry · 26/11/2018 23:47

Hope all you poorly people get better soon BrewCakeFlowers

WakeUpFromYourDreamAndScream · 27/11/2018 01:33

@4nonblondes @Oddsocksandmeatballs hope you both feel better soon.

I'm up yet again as DD (2) is deciding she's not going to sleep properly tonight. I've spent 40 mins laying with her and now DH is having a try. So fed up I could cry. I just want a good nights sleep 😢

Hi I’m new to this I’m
Up at 2.32am I’m in Birmingham West Midlands

Amyhews1990 · 27/11/2018 02:34

Also in a lot of pain Sad

Grandadwasthatyou · 27/11/2018 02:56

Another heartburn sufferer here. I'm fed up with being woken up by it in the early hours. It was so bad it made me vomit. ( sorry if there's tmi there).

DH lying snoring next to me. I'm so jealous.

brizzledrizzle · 27/11/2018 02:59

I'm worrying about a conversation I had with my mother last night because it's the biggest indication I've had yet that her mind is not what it should be. I got up to come and post on elderly parents.

Alwaysneedgin · 27/11/2018 03:02

Can I join? I'm up because poor dd has been out of bed with a sore tummy. DH has gone to sleep in her room as I'm having an op next week and can't risk being ill.

Meanwhile my medication give me MH issues and insomnia so I can't see me sleeping again tonight. Getting to sleep initially is fine. If I get woken up then I'm stuck.

What kind of pain Amy? Are you ok?

4nonblondes · 27/11/2018 03:10

Well I have been dosed up on morphine, codeine and paracetamol, so relief at last. Why I didn't go to the Gp sooner god only knows. I'm on a ward now and I actually burst into tears as I couldn't get a signal on my phone for Internet. I've found a spot now where I have a signal and I'm praying it lasts or I will literally die of boredom.

4nonblondes · 27/11/2018 03:12

Amy, what's up dear? Get yourself to the Gp tomorrow and don't be a fool like me, suffering for a week.

BlackBeltInChildWrangling · 27/11/2018 03:14

Up again here with the resident non-sleeper DC.

Alwaysneedgin · 27/11/2018 03:25

@4nonblondes I'm glad you've had some relief X here's hoping your meds work quickly and you're here me soon. You're in the right place!
