He was late this morning so I did his lunch for him. I made a cake yesterday that was iced on the top only, so I cut a slice in half and turned the top bit over so the icing was In the middle and wouldn't get everywhere. He has just texted genuinely amazed at my brilliance. Who knew being supermum was so easy.......

I do this with cupcakes. Rip half the cake off and stick it on top of the icing. That way you get icing and cake with every bite

My mum still has a video player and some tapes we made when I was young. In one I'm rapping along to The Fugees and I know all the words and keep good rhythm etc. My kids thought it was part amazing and part cringe.

My Mum used to do that with iced finger buns-cut them open, butter the bottom piece and put the top back on icing side down.
