I'm not overly attached to my phone but that gives me 500 texts, 100 mins talk time and 1meg of data which is plenty for me.

£25 for unlimited calls and texts, and 4 gb (or mb, whichever is more) of data. This is for a Huawei Honour 9. Love it.

I’ve got a 3 year old iPhone 6s which just needs a new battery. I went via giffgaff so paid off the phone via a loan over 2 years so now I just pay for (loads of) data, texts etc

£7.50 per month for unlimited calls and texts. There is also a data allowance, but it's a 10 yo Nokia, so it doesn't go online, thank God. I love it.

£18, I have a newish Samsung and 4meg data a month which is more than adequate when I’m at home but useful when on holiday with patchy WiFi.
I’m with EE. I don’t really text or talk much on it. When I renewed my contract I explained this. Said I wanted a half decent camera if possible and more data to use each month to avoid any high bills if I exceeded the 1 Meg I used to have.

£7.50 a month with giffgaff for 2GB & 250 mins/unlimited texts - all of which is generally way too much, as I'm mostly at home, on wifi.

Some months I get the £5 one which is 500MB, 150mins & 500 texts. I can get perilously close to 0 MB with that one though so it feels safer to pay the extra £2.50.

(Phone is a used 7 plus bought outright from amazon)

Currently it is about £20 a month I think although get a small discount. My phonr’s contract expired and I was able to significantly cut the costs by going sim only. I will probably upgrade when the current 12 months runs out.

£4.26 for 5Mb, 500 Mon, unlimited texts wit EE. Buy my own phone every three years or so, max £200 cost.

My phone is a couple of years old now (6s plus bought from Apple) and has cost me £30 for a new screen but that's it!

£35 a month with unlimited texts/calls and 12mg data.

It was a brand new s7 edge and I broke the screen after 5 weeks, turns out they don't cover them and would be over £300 for a new LCD so am using my old s6.

This will be the last contract phone I have.

£5 month with GiffGaff. If I'm going away I sometime splash out for the £7.50 goody bag for the extra data, but I am covered by Wifi nearly all the time and i never get anywhere near using the call or text allowance. I cannot imagine in any circumstances spending £540 a year on a phone.

I've been in the shop today haggling looking for the best upgrade.
Currently we pay £127 a month for phones for DH, DS(14) and I. I have an iPhone 7, DH an SE and DS has an old iPhone 5s on a sim only contract.
However we manipulate it, it seems we will always pay more annually than we did previously. I have a 20% discount I can apply this time but I'm aware I'll only feel the benefits this time round.
TBH if you look at how much we use our phones compared to their cost I suspect it's fairly small- for example we don't have a laptop now and rely on DS's gaming PC if we ever need a "real" computer, everything else is done on our phones.
It's just every month the DD comes out and I think of how we could spend that money better Hmm

Bought the iPhone 6S for £220, plus pay £5 per month sim only contract for 12 months (unlimited minutes + text).

If I keep the same phone for 2 years + keep the contract rolling, it works out at about £14 per month.

I'm out of contract now so on a sim only deal with EE.

I'm sure we spend too much.
Me and dds have iPhone 6S Plus unlimited texts & calls and 6 mb data.
Dh has his old iPhone 6 he's on sim only unlimited calls and texts and 20 mb data
Ds has an old iPhone 6 and I top up £10 per month for a bundle thing 100 texts 250 minutes calls and 500mb data.
We pay about £150 per month
