£7.50 on giffgaff. Was with orange/EE for years but once last contract had finished I kept my iPhone and went onto a sim only plan with giffgaff (O2)

MummytoCSJH · 08/11/2018 07:55

£55-£65 (on contract, calling chargeable numbers can add to my bill). Unlimited texts, unlimited minutes and 20gb data for a Samsung s8+.

00100001 · 08/11/2018 07:55

DH £7
DS14 £3.50
Me £5
Total per month £15.50

DS has hand me down s7 from his auntie which he got for his birthday, I have an old iPhone 5 from work that was being upgraded. Dh has a cat s60 which was brought outright 3 years ago and will have to last for another 3 years or so.

No new phones for anyone...If one breaks, there's an old Motorola sitting in a drawer.

I will buy DH a new battery for his for Christmas, as it will not last for a whole day of he doesn't get to charge it.

We bought our DC there iPhones and have a sim only contract. My DD contract is 14.50 a month with Tesco, unlimited texts and 4GB my DS got a great deal with virgin and has 24gb and unlimited texts etc for £15 a month. Need to keep an eye when the deal runs out though!

Moominfan · 08/11/2018 08:01

Giffgaff 15quid a month 8bg internet. iPhone 6 bought for 150 few months ago. Try and stay away from contracts they're just so expensive

bigbluebus · 08/11/2018 08:05

£6 pm for SIM only deal with BT which I've just signed to up for 12 months after getting to the end of a £17pm 18 month contract. I get 1gb data plus unlimited calls/texts.

PipGoesPop · 08/11/2018 08:06

£7.50 giff gaff unlimited txts, 500 min, 2gb data. I'm a sahm mum so mostly use wifi.

I bought the phone from giffgaff for about £300 when they were running a special offer a couple of years ago.

So far that works out at about £40 a month if you look at totalcost over 2 years but I will keep this phone for at least another year, maybe two if it lasts which will bring the monthly cost over 4 years by quite a lot.

Of course, if my phone breaks I have to pay for a repair or replace.

ivykaty44 · 08/11/2018 08:06

iPhone 8 which I purchased outright 15 months ago and pay £10 a month for sim only deal with 4 mb 1200 minutes and unlimited text

Sammy867 · 08/11/2018 08:23

iPhone xr : £10 / month unlimited calls, texts, 8gb data

DH: £10/ month for same with iPhone 8 Plus

Both on three and have been for years so we get really good deals when we ring

Desecratedcoconut · 08/11/2018 08:30

£5 sometimes £7.50 with Giffgaff

LastOneDancing · 08/11/2018 08:32

Yet another giffgaffer! £10 a month, but I could probably get away with the 7.50 bag if I was more careful.

My phone is a Moto g5s+ which was about £200 new. It does everything I need and more and the camera is fab.

I'm so glad I've grown out of needing a big brand phone!

Karrwomannghia · 08/11/2018 08:33

Sammy that is unbelievable! My ds would love a xr do you have a link?

RedDwarves · 08/11/2018 08:37

iPhone XS Max.

$122 AUD p/m.

Sammy867 · 08/11/2018 08:53

No sorry we ring when we are due renewal and see what deals we can get / threaten to leave and see what happens. I was paying £17/ month for unlimited everything with an iPhone 6s but realised I wasn’t using much data so when renewal came we saw what they could offer. Once I get my deal my dh rings and get them to match it. We’ve been with them around 12 years now and this approach always works for us.

My sister is with bt and got her iPhone for £16/month unlimited everything but again she’s been with them years. I think the trick is to ring them when renewal comes, kind of like car insurance

Karrwomannghia · 08/11/2018 09:20

Sammy I’ve got cheap sky like that but o2’s offers were dismal even after years!

Karrwomannghia · 08/11/2018 09:23

Did you get a new iPhone in for £10pm though? Because normally companies do a separate bill for that now or is the £10 just calls etc?

LLOE7 · 08/11/2018 09:23

iPhone XS £68 a month- unlimited texts and internet, 50GB data

InConstantNeedOfAGin · 08/11/2018 09:24

£60.03 pm for iphone 7 🙈 £9.99 of that is for Spotify. Still a ridiculous amount for a phone contract though.

Lost5stone · 08/11/2018 09:25

God I've got to shop around haven't I!

£60 for mobile, which I think is 60GB data, Unlimited texts and minutes

Pay £15 for a tablet too but that goes in March

HashTagLil · 08/11/2018 09:29

I buy my phone outright and pay £20pm on Three for unlimited everything.
