It was just an afternoon with a real "Friday afternoon" sort of feeling (not so surprising since it's, er, Friday!)

We talked about the formerly lovely neighbours, about the inept architect, about music, about lots of things. Lots of laughter and lots of gin . The sparky turned up at 4ish but wouldn't join us - it felt a bit like having a disapproving dad walking into the room from time to time.

Cb left first, and while waiting for his cab, cg told me he'd enjoyed the afternoon, enjoyed my company and would like to enjoy more of it .
