Ooh sorry, jumped the gun! My neighbours are not happy. :( I'll gloss over that bit because it's upsetting but cg came with me, and after it was over, gave me a big hug.
Short version: I've had a brilliant afternoon drinking gin and listening to music with cg and cg.
Longer version: it seems that the architect may have made a big mistake so this afternoon all work on the extension ground to a halt. Boilerman had been and gone, cb and cg at a loose end as they didn't want to do any more until the architect got back to them. I'd bought cake and, feeling stressed after meeting with neighbours, offered tea but said I'd prefer gin. So, that's how I've spent my afternoon - sat in the kitchen with cg, cb, my cousin (but he left at 2), and intermittently my dd, having a lovely time.
I can confirm that cb has an on/off girlfriend, been "off" for the last 6 months. I very very nearly asked about the teeth - the words were right there, about to come out, but I swerved last minute! They both had too much gin to drive so I've also learnt that cb lives in walking distance, cg got a cab. I've really had such a lovely afternoon, can't, in all honesty, say there were any signs cb is interested (can say, in all honesty, that I am!). Can also say that cg is interested
